The Grapple Garden - tips for making a grappling hook based build in Enshrouded

I haven’t seen any grappling hook focused builds in Enshrouded yet, and I think it’s a very well designed part of the game. The physics involved are quite nuanced and the grappling hook is crazy fun to use once you create a build that can really make it sing. So I decided to make this post to help others out in creating their own grappling based builds.
This also gives me the opportunity to show off my main base high above the nomad highlands. I chose this locale so that the blueness of the luminescent blocks compliments the reds and oranges of the highlands and the kindlewastes. The base is also above a sandstone pillar surrounded by shroud, so if you suck at grappling and fall, you'll have to fight lions or get out of the shroud. or die from fall damage lol.
Tips for placing grappling hook anchors:
-place swing anchors at the same height or lower as the platform you’re jumping from or the anchor you’re swinging from. This will maximize the momentum you can gain from your fall and therefore launch you higher. Because of this, it is hard to gain height with swing anchors.-place swing anchors closer together than you might at first want. If your swing anchors are too far apart, you will lose height and momentum, and you’ll be forced to build downward pretty much infinitely - and going downward is solved well enough by gliding.-you can place hook anchors closer together than you might realize. The game seems to prioritize the center of your screen when selecting a hook anchor, so as long as you know what you’re doing you can navigate just fine.
Tips for the most badass grappling you’ve ever done in Enshrouded:
-jumping at the end of your swing on swing anchors will launch you further. This is noticeable when you have a lot of momentum when hitting a swing anchor.
-nose-diving on your glider into a swing anchor will greatly increase your momentum and launch you insane distances (as shown in my video). This is a good way to gain height with swing anchors.
-make sure to focus the center of your screen on your hook anchors when gliding. This allows you to be extremely precise with anchors that are close together.
-double jump, updraft, and running speed+ from the skill tree will vastly improve your grappling experience, allowing you to adjust your movement in air with ease.
-this almost goes without saying, but ranger gear focused on stamina and food for stamina regeneration will allow you to swing grapple for much longer and potentially infinitely because your character regenerates stamina as they are falling. This makes it so that during your fall, you regenerate the stamina you lost from the last grapple.
Let me know if you guys have any other tips on how to build and use grappling hook anchors. I think the movement in this game is par to none in the open world survival craft genre and I'd love to see what other people come up with. I plan on expanding the Grapple Garden with a few more flame altars at some point - it is currently only one level 4 altar and I'd like to progress a bit further in the game first.Lastly, let me know if y’all have any further questions on this build if you’re interested.
Happy grappling
