The early days of Labs were a real frill for me and my fellow players who I would team up with. When the map was first realised it was extremely satisfying to outwit the raiders and get them to chase into choke points. Listening carefully for their footsteps and callouts to learn their position and plan an ambush. Futhermore, the weapons and gear found on their bodies after a satisfying peek around a corner with a MP5, or a modified Glock, carefully placing a few good shots on the face hitbox.
I think most people would say that their skill in reactive headshots increased rapidly with the enticement of Gen4 Armour or a AK-105. Knowing that quite often you would not be quick enough and loose all the gear you fought for didn't put you off as the exilaration sent your heart racing like the very first days of playing EFT.
My last raid on Labs consisted of running around the entire map as a 3 man team, only to catch one or two players with Hatchets towards the key spawns or maybe managers office. Pressing every single switch without seeing a single Raider spawn. Only to find the occasional Raider hanging around the 'No Man's Land' which is the core of the map, where a raider is able to land a headshot from 150m while also spiritually projecting through a door.
If you're able to convince one of these raiders to actually respond to the alarm triggered by switch press, into an area where they are not able to magically see through parts of the map you can't, you are rewarded with a Kirasa armour (broken) and a poetically useless AKS-74u with a extended mag, which mocks you as it takes up 1/3 of a Attack 2 backpack.
My question is am I alone with this experience and if not, how do we make Labs more fun again.
my comments to that:
1. raider fixes are coming
2. map fixes are coming
3. keycards
4. more types of exits, current exits improvement
