I have a question regarding the upgrading of the game while being in a different country. I couldn't find any answers on the forums so I hope to find some help here.
To the issue:
I live in Italy so when I bought the game I got the standard EU version, and payed a 22% VAT fee as well. I'm looking forward to upgrade from standard to EOD but the problem is, I am currently in the US and I am not sure if upgrading from here will have issues: from what I understand the US version of the game has a different price and does not work if launched in EU countries. To get to the point, I want to know if upgrading a EU version of the game while being in the US will change its "region lock", because I will eventually go back to Italy and don't want to pay extra fees to convert the game back to EU version.
In any case, the pricing I get on the website right now is in euros and seems to be European, 56.25€. The only thing that changes is the VAT fee, which is 0% (in Italy it's 22%). I don't know if it's important but I would pay with an Italian PayPal account.
