Hey guys,

I’m actively playin EFT since 0.5 hit in Dec 2017 (bought the game Dec 2016 but at that time I’ve been travelling a lot and SEA/AU Servers haven’t been a thing so the experience sucked a lot) and since then I put 200-300hours or more into every single wipe.

I can clearly say I saw a lot changes (for good and for worse). But one thing that has been a part of the game for a long time is its silencer meta. Back than there was absolutely no reason not to run one. They were (and still are) extremely powerful and cheap as f**k. BSG tried to change that by increasing the prices a little, making them more rare. But being honest that barely had an effect at all. It delayed it for a week or so at the start of a new wipe. This changed with 0.8.3 when all the new M1A attachements have been introduced. The M1A didn't had its own silencer so it was limited to the hybrid (which sucks ans is super expensive) but its also the first time they introduced muzzle breaks that had a significantly advantage over the supressors, especially the lower recoil. You really had the choice if you want to go silenced and be harder to locate or you want that little extra control over your rifle. As the time went on we saw theese changes applied to all the other rifles too. The Aks, the FAL, the M1A they all have muzzle breaks that are superior in there stats to there supressor counterparts and now in 0.11.5 we finally see them used by many people. So a little comparison for all Assault/Battle rifles in the game

Best silencer Best Muzzle Break
AK 5.45x39 PBS-4 (-5% recoil) PWS CQB (-11% recoil)
AK 7.2x39 PBS-1 (-4% recoil) Spike tactical (-8% recoil)
M1A Hybrid 46 (-3% recoil) JP Enterprices (-12% recoil)
FAL/SA-58 Hybrid 46 (-3% recoil) DS Arms (-9%)
M4/HK416 KAC QD + NT-4 (-9% recoil) Vendetta VP-09 (-7% recoil)

So you see on any of theese the best muzzle breaks outperforms the best silencer by a factor of 2-4. Only on 5.56 the supressor is superior and offers all its advantages on top. The 5.56 muzzle breaks really need some love and a buff to be worth a choice. You might argue that even on the 5.56 muzzle breaks offers a price advantage over supressors and that might be true. But lets be hones a modded M4 is already over 150k rub (HK416 over 200k) so who cares about the extra 30-40k for the supressor. At the end the only reason not to use a supressor on the M4 is the extremly cool sound :D

Just to make it clear, I'm not an english native. Even though I have lived in english speaking countries for about a year I'm very certain this text is filled with misstakes. I just hope you get the point I'm talking about.

there will be ton of ar-15 attachments in future - it will add this necessary variety. let wait a little
