We want to gather some constructive feedback about stuttering and freezes in current version. So, we summon those, who really want to help, not to rant.

Please, write what moment in the raid and how often you usually have freezes, which map. Also write down you CPU, amount of RAM. If you have any additional info (for example, "i think it usually happens when I use AKSU") dont be shy - write everything. Also, if you sent a bugreport related to freezes/stuttering - write down a ticket number plz. Thanks!

UPD:

first of all - thank you for your feedback!

second - if you didn't play after last friday's hotfix - you should check it - it was about fixes of freezes and stuttering which were after 11.7 update

Freezes and stutters of 2-5 seconds seemingly at random intervals, open and interior areas. Most noticeable on Interchange, Customs and Shoreline, less on woods, not at all on factory. Have not played labs enough to say.

2-5 seconds?

Nikita - Does this have anything to do with the "server connection lost" that I am getting each raid? It's certainly a new problem that I didn't have with other patches. As for the stuttering, it hasn't been too bad, but is noticeably worse for me on shoreline than the other maps, and seems to happen whenever things get intense, especially grenades. I'm using GTX1080, 32GB RAM, and i7-8700K.

no, its not related to server connection lost

For me the experience was really really good after the 0.11.7.3001 hotfix - smoothes tarkov ever. Very good framerate - well above 60 on all maps.

With .3006 I have noticed sliiiiiightly more noticable very brief fps drops at random moments, but they are usually very brief drops from 70 to 50 and the game recovers very quickly. No changes to framerate - very good. I have not had freezes during firefights since a long long time.

One thing I have noticed is that a lot has improved when I moved from Wifi to a cable connection with my router. I started getting less freezes since then.

Also, I have a very basic gaming PC - Windows, Nvidia and other system Drivers, Discord and that's it.

that's interesting theory

I have a friend who can't see us when loading into large maps like shoreline and interchange. He can see our player models but its stuck walking on the spot. We can still see him move but he can't see us, We are not even moving on his screen. This happens when stuttering occurs or long loading times for large maps..... reconnecting tarkov seems to fix problem.

its not stuttering. its network related

Apart from small glitches, like the bugged message board, the patch was good. Love that scavs are not to be taken lightly now. But, most problems after the new patch are with periodic desync and lags with firefights and without. Could be that the load on the servers is big and it could be fixed with some server load balacing, etc.? Some one or two second freezes rarely. Keep up the good work.

sometimes servers overload - it will lead to desync

Ok I have had this issue for over 2 years and it has never gotten better through 2 computers. When you click on “Escape from tarkov” it freezes up, when I click on Scav or PMC it freezes up, when I hit next it freezes up, it freezes on all of the buttons. Will this ever be fixed?

we are talking about in raid freezes right now

I remember getting mine mostly when I go to peek around a corner and ads at the same. I don’t get them a whole lot but I will make note of them when I play tonight. Ryzen 2600 rtx2060 16gb of 2400MHz ram.

Random question, would I benefit from doubling my ram? Would it be noticeable for tarkov?

16 is ok for EFT

I have been freezing and stuttering since 10.5 and it basically got worse until 11.5 when I could play again. Then 11.7 ruined it yet again. It constantly happens the entire time I am in raid, usually every couple of minutes and it locks up with every fire fight that I get into PMC or AI. Usually the first firefight is the worst and I am locked up for 15+ seconds, which also usually leads to my death as I can't move or even know what is going on. I have done some comparison with other people on the forums and I find a lot of people who have first Generation Ryzen CPU's seem to have similar issues (Not everyone tho.)

Most stutters are 5-10 seconds. It doesn't seem to matter if it is an action, walking, looking somewhere new, AI spawns, etc. It just happens with anything I do at random intervals.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1800x

RAM: 32GB DDR4 G.Skill 3200MHZ

GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080Ti

Support was very little help unfortunately and its been a struggle to play this game since 10.5. I included my GPU just in case. I can provide more information upon request if need be.

did you check the game lately? like yesterday? its not way that stutters are the same as they were on 11.7 launch, cause we fixed it later with hotfix

Just noticed massive increase in frequency of stutters compared with last patch. I’ve also noticed that scavs spawn in in droves and seem to hunt you down in packs all at once. Not sure if related but something I’ve noticed and could influence things.

Will add more info as I find it!

did you check it with last hotfix?
