So I lost my account to a hacker a couple of months ago. I found out by me trying to gift another Tarkov account to one of my friends so we could play together. When it said that the code for the game would be sent to your email, it ended up going to another person's email. Somewhere in Russia like tf? So I started gathering all the information I could to get my account back, giving screenshots of the transactions on my bank account. Of course, without providing credentials and all that, I even took screenshots within the game, showing that I was playing and that the account was indeed mined. After fighting for my account going back and forth with Ticket Support, I get another email about three days ago saying, hey, which bank did you use? Please send us the first six and last four digits of the card that you used... Also, please give us your IP address while you're at it. To me, that makes no sense, and I have never come across any customer support where they have asked me for my IP address. I wanted to know if this was normal, and I wanted to post this on here to see if I could get any help on what the hell I could do because frankly, they honestly seem very sus.

Look at the sender's address (exactly the address, not the name. Ignat Roshchin is one of our employees). It should be [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])

To identify you as the owner, various information may be needed, including the one that was requested from you in this letter

Would've been nice to have customer support like this in 2018, when my account was hijacked and banned and you guys said you couldn't do anything about it after I provided my information Still makes me sick to my stomach everytime I even think about having to message support.

If an account has been banned, then such an account cannot be restored in any case.

Hey, I don’t want to tell you guys how to run your department but you should never have people linking such simple things like how to find your IP address. WIN + R will open the run command, type in CMD, hit enter and then type in ipconfig /all (on windows). Then you can either have them screenshot that or copy paste their WAN ip. Easy and it doesn’t look weird. I wouldn’t click that link, even if it was positive it was a support person working for BSG.

And this way you won't be able to find out your public IP address. Therefore, we need information from the IP determination service. One of them is the one we link to. It is a public site like Reddit, Google, or Speedtest.
