[2020] Terrible game performance and input lag for the past week(s)

For the past week I am experiencing terrible performance by the EVE client. The UI is unresponsive, loading markets and opening inventories or cans can take up to 10 seconds and certain aspects of the game (like the hacking minigame) are almost unplayable.

Afaik there are more people experiencing the same thing, but not everybody. I sent a ticket in but I got the standard reply asking me to run a diagnostics tool, run a dxdiag report and to download a network monitor tool. That is one way to close a ticket I guess. I havent seen an acknowledgement yet from CCP that they are aware of the issues and are working on it.

Are more people experiencing the same thing?
