25s | coming to talk to us today to kick |
28s | things off I'm going to throw straight |
29s | over to CCP |
31s | uh can you te tell us a little bit about |
34s | uh what is the thinking behind e |
35s | Revenant what are the goals for the |
36s | expansion what's the the broad strokes |
39s | big brain plan for this |
41s | one um yes I don't want to spend too |
45s | much time on the the strategy and the |
47s | ideology I just want to get deep into |
49s | the features um but mainly Revenant is |
53s | really about iteration on our long-term |
55s | projects we have been talking about |
57s | strong organizations for a long time the |
59s | future of War and true identity and |
63s | we're basically taking Corp |
64s | collaboration Corp identity to the next |
67s | level in in Revenant uh we're delivering |
69s | features that have been asked for for a |
72s | decade and uh future of War we're all |
74s | about adding new tech new meta changing |
78s | changing Dynamics specifically in noac |
81s | but also I would say completing the the |
84s | kind of vertical slice of of Equinox s |
88s | by adding the kind of dimension of of |
90s | siphon into the into the skybooks this |
93s | is something that we wanted to Showcase |
95s | as the potential and the scalability of |
99s | of Equinox s on top of everything that |
102s | was shipped in the kind of pre-expansion |
105s | phase we've we've had a little |
108s | pre-release already we've had narrative |
111s | events coming up so uh it it's all |
115s | culminating in in revent and and it it's |
117s | really looking really looking amazing |
120s | that's awesome also um congratulations I |
123s | managed to get that webcam from 1993 |
125s | working uh who who knew they in London I |
129s | don't know I can't I don't know what to |
130s | say who who knew though still made PCS |
132s | with serial ports so good job all right |
136s | now um with regards to uh Revenant as |
139s | well a key player in this is is of |
141s | course the deathless and there have been |
142s | a lot of uh events and activities |
144s | surrounding what's happening with him |
146s | obviously you know the the game design |
149s | direction is super important for players |
150s | but you know as a we need to hang it on |
152s | the framework of the narrative and the |
154s | story line that's been enveloping uh in |
157s | E on line for like the last few months |
159s | now and going back even further to that |
160s | we first sort of really teased deathless |
162s | at a FanFest I think in was it the one |
164s | in 2022 where he had a little bit on the |
166s | stage so this has been percolating away |
168s | in the background for quite some time um |
171s | CIS or CIS Berger tell us a little bit |
173s | about what's the steps that have been |
175s | leading up towards this expansion in |
176s | terms of what's been happening with the |
177s | deathless storyline |
180s | yeah I think um the deathless are a a |
184s | really important faction they are movers |
186s | and shakers and there's somebody we |
188s | really wanted to bring to the Forefront |
189s | of telling the story um you saw this |
193s | story kind of kick off with the uh the |
196s | structure that has appeared in zarak um |
199s | there's a lot of mystery I think still |
202s | as to what this is and what it's going |
203s | to do but that had summoned an ancient |
207s | uh enemy The Drifters to come and uh |
210s | Siege zarak so we've seen a a really |
213s | strong and interesting buildup to this |
215s | narrative um the deathless are are |
219s | really uh the glue for everything that |
221s | you're going to see in this expansion um |
224s | there's been the Tucker Caravan as well |
226s | uh with the reveal of Adam which there's |
229s | going to be some more sort of important |
230s | reveals uh ongoing as well um and the |
234s | goal here is really for us from a design |
236s | standpoint creating a lot of cohesion |
238s | for everything that you're feeling in |
239s | this expansion it's not just about uh |
241s | telling a story or having these variety |
244s | of disparate features but really tying |
246s | them all into a central point and and |
248s | the deathless are are the ones that are |
250s | driving the force for this expansion um |
253s | with that said you're going to see some |
254s | more interesting beats throughout the |
255s | expansion as well so you have more |
257s | things like this to look forward to |
259s | we're really taking a narrative sort of |
260s | driven approach to a lot of a lot of |
262s | this stuff uh and I'm super excited to |
265s | see the reactions uh uh to to that |
268s | future content as well I don't know |
269s | Burger you have anything you want to add |
271s | to that yeah I mean it's been very |
273s | exciting to to um work on the death |
276s | storyline and and follow kind of how it |
279s | how they progress in new eaten and how |
281s | they're kind of you know catching you |
284s | know building their stronghold in sarac |
287s | um and this is a definitely a a new way |
291s | for us to to to introduce a new uh |
294s | faction to the game and it's it's been |
296s | very exciting to to see how they yeah |
298s | how they kind of you been kind of |
300s | roughing things around and and making |
302s | some interesting enemies and and uh and |
305s | even Frenemies so this expansion is |
308s | going to be very exciting to it's going |
309s | to be exciting to follow how it |
311s | progresses in this era in the Revenant |
314s | era that that we're about to embark on |
317s | yeah Kar M pirate faction let's |
319s | go we've been waiting for that for years |
322s | and years and years waiting for one to |
323s | show up and now finally here in the form |
325s | of the death list um The Drifters as you |
328s | mentioned yeah they show they showed up |
329s | in an istic way and uh we hadn't really |
332s | heard much from them from a long time |
334s | either so it's really cool that they're |
336s | sort of reemerging and yeah um the the |
338s | shrouded structure the the the lock as |
340s | he refers to it in that teaser that I |
342s | played earlier so uh what does it open |
345s | guess we'll find out eventually soon TM |
348s | um all right so uh before you move on to |
350s | Revenant proper though I did also want |
351s | to take a moment just to sort of reflect |
353s | on the last couple of months since |
354s | Equinox because um uh as as CCP |
359s | mentioned before we've been working |
360s | iteratively a lot on a bunch of |
361s | different features and even though |
364s | Equinox was you know back in June July |
366s | now what it was we've had some really |
368s | really significant uh updates and |
370s | releases in additions to the game since |
371s | then and I just want to take a moment to |
373s | take a look at some of them here because |
374s | a lot of these things are not not small |
377s | things and some of them are uh long |
379s | requested things so uh with Equinox s |
382s | obviously to sort of shake up the met in |
384s | nsec a little bit we've made multiple |
386s | iterations on the orbital skyhooks to |
387s | Contin continue to improve those and |
389s | we're watching how they turn out um |
391s | added new mining anomalies because the |
393s | anomalies that originally came in the |
395s | expansion people asking for for for more |
397s | options so we handed those over um with |
400s | regards to force Pro projection we made |
402s | two big changes one came as a |
404s | consequence of equinox and that's the |
405s | int Regional projection because Equinox |
408s | will reduce the number of En lexes in |
409s | the game overall but also inter Regional |
412s | projection uh with in the form of the |
414s | emanation lock on zazac so um uh amongst |
418s | those things and anything else here on |
420s | this uh on this slide does anyone want |
423s | to pick up something and talk about |
426s | them yeah I think I think when it comes |
429s | to topics like force projection that's |
432s | those are those are things that we hear |
434s | from the community that are you know |
436s | really interesting and engaging topics |
438s | for us to try to solve and as we're |
439s | seeing right now um they're things that |
442s | we don't want to necessarily like pull a |
444s | big lever and and try to change all at |
446s | once yeah they're delicate as well |
447s | aren't they yeah yeah it's it's it's a |
449s | really delate ecosystem it's it's |
451s | something that could easily break or or |
453s | cause a lot of unhappiness so um making |
456s | sure that we're kind of iteratively |
457s | approaching these things and like with |
460s | with the Equinox of changes being like |
462s | hey let's let's bring down the overall |
464s | number of ANS skates let's reduce that |
467s | um let's look at the inter and int |
469s | Regional like you said let's lock down |
471s | zarak let's see what impact that has um |
475s | and with a lot of these things too like |
476s | making sure that we give them time to |
478s | Steep and look at them ecosystem and |
480s | look at that change um I know sometimes |
483s | that like you'll feel that change |
484s | immediately but you won't know what that |
486s | impact is for a little while so that's |
488s | kind of our approach and and hopefully |
490s | people are seeing like we're we're doing |
491s | these sort of regular updates um and |
494s | we're following up on these these things |
496s | over time so it's it's not just a a |
498s | oneand done um but something that we're |
500s | going to chip away at a little bit by a |
502s | little |
503s | bit now we're 100% committed to making |
507s | Equinox s balanced in the future and we |
510s | have been iterating basically since day |
513s | one with with uh anomaly changes |
517s | improved rewards scaling things so uh |
521s | we're not going to stop doing that we're |
523s | going to keep doing that we're going to |
524s | do it um for years to come because we |
527s | truly believe eveno Sol gives us all of |
530s | the tools and all of the cool toys for |
534s | players to play with we just need to |
536s | we're not going to let it just slide and |
539s | and kind of |
540s | just jump on another thing this is the |
542s | the two to three next years is is going |
545s | to be adding content into n and not just |
548s | n but using that technology wider if we |
551s | want to there's nothing that says that |
553s | like NPCs can't own skybooks and and |
556s | stuff like that so we have tools and |
559s | we're going to balance them until |
560s | they're both lucrative and |
563s | fun yeah I think just to just to plus |
565s | that as well like really we we built a |
568s | super solid framework for something that |
571s | we can expand on and iterate on for the |
575s | next era of Eve here really and uh even |
578s | as you guys saw uh we've been able to |
582s | add new upgrades and and rebalance |
584s | things fairly quickly with this system |
586s | and so I'm really looking forward to |
588s | like how we can continue to add on to |
589s | this and we'll talk about some of those |
591s | additions that we're we're putting into |
593s | this next expansion in Revenant as well |
596s | um but from a a design standpoint and |
599s | and a Vel oper standpoint our ability to |
601s | kind of like work within the system is |
602s | extremely powerful and something we're |
604s | going to keep kind of tending to um for |
607s | for a long time to |
609s | come and I guess that kind of leads us |
611s | into where we are now which is the |
613s | revenue expansion that is coming out on |
614s | Tuesday we'll be in your hands very very |
616s | soon we can't wait for you to try it out |
618s | just a heads up that at the towards the |
620s | end of the stream we will be patch |
622s | publishing the full patch notes for the |
623s | expansion so you'll have four full days |
626s | to like chew on those and digest them |
627s | before you go and try out what they uh |
629s | what they bring to you in space u so if |
632s | there's any if we make any references to |
634s | sort of like a ship change or anything |
635s | like that in this conversation but don't |
637s | give you the actual oh it's going to be |
638s | 10% less this 20% more that all that |
641s | stuff will be in the patch notes before |
642s | the end of the stream so you can you can |
643s | run off and start devouring those all |
646s | right so Revenant um we're once again |
649s | touching on you know the the big key |
651s | pillars continue to iterate on those |
652s | that we've worked on for multiple |
654s | expansions now um uh Improvement |
656s | interation to home front uh more |
658s | expansions of paragon Hub and the |
660s | features and the Skinner uh and we've |
662s | got new objectives in space new ships |
664s | new weapon type of the first of its kind |
666s | than E online uh and also as is |
668s | tradition with these streams we also got |
670s | a bunch of just little things we haven't |
671s | really said anything about yet which we |
673s | kind of save for you here as a bit of a |
675s | surprise so launching into those let's |
677s | start off by talking about Homefront a |
679s | couple of weeks ago CCP Nomad joined |
681s | ccpb on a on a stream to go through |
684s | whole bunch of the new stuff that has |
685s | become uh been coming along with that um |
688s | you know new uh quality of life changes |
691s | new contribution methods and a big one |
693s | which is like a a really a proper SRP |
695s | tool for ships um so the homefront |
698s | initiative I think is something that a |
700s | lot of people can agree even if they |
701s | don't use say Corporation projects |
703s | themselves because their or Alliance |
705s | already has those things handled through |
706s | their own tools I think they can |
707s | appreciate how valuable this is for |
709s | smaller corporations that are starting |
711s | up and people who maybe don't have |
712s | enough members to you know have their |
714s | own it Department to essentially uh set |
717s | up and run things like Alliance or and |
719s | and those kinds of things so um in |
722s | regards to the the contribution that |
725s | this Pro uh you know this team the |
727s | homefront team has been making to sort |
729s | of like and and empowering those um |
732s | smaller organizations uh what are some |
734s | of the impact you seen so far or some of |
736s | the anecdotes you've heard about it or |
737s | anything in particular in this iteration |
739s | at home front that you're really excited |
741s | about yeah maybe do if I kick things off |
744s | a bit here um strengthening organization |
747s | and player organizations has been a very |
749s | very very important goal for us for a |
751s | while now and uh we've been you know as |
753s | players have you know as Capers have |
755s | noticed like there've been we've done |
757s | lot of iterations on you know that being |
760s | corporation uh Corporation projects or |
762s | Skinner or all these things it's all to |
765s | kind of with the ultimate goal of of of |
767s | strengthening player organizations and |
770s | kind of our ultimate goal is always to |
772s | give more control to players like how |
774s | can we find new and clever ways to give |
777s | players more control of their game and |
779s | and you know making their E online and a |
781s | lot of this work like you said happens |
784s | outside the client today and you need |
786s | you know a massive you need an IT |
788s | department to set up you know these |
790s | these these applications and these |
792s | pipelines and these kind of project |
794s | management uh what you may have it so |
798s | our goal with with uh Corporation |
800s | project is just to kind of try to get |
802s | closer and closer to parity for everyone |
806s | to be able to to build these projects |
808s | and and really activate their members |
810s | because I mean it's okay to do level you |
814s | know regular missions and things like |
816s | that but you know you have you know if |
819s | you if you're just doing regular stuff |
821s | you might get 10 people in Fleet but if |
823s | you have to go and clean up like you |
825s | know citadels in in your system or or |
828s | you know kill some some evil enemies and |
831s | do boring stuff like you you fill up |
832s | five fleets like everyone wants to |
834s | contribute to the greater so that's kind |
836s | of what we're trying to do here so maybe |
840s | uh Okami you want to pick up or RAR what |
843s | we're actually |
845s | doing um I think |
848s | it's like you said we want to empower |
851s | organizations that's what we called |
852s | strong organizations and um we are |
857s | simply trying to in collaboration with |
860s | with uh often |
862s | organizers uh of both High SEC uh |
865s | entities or organizations whether |
867s | corporations or alliances and also a |
870s | null trying to find like where their |
873s | pain points are uh SRP is is for sure |
876s | one of the big ones uh we talked about |
878s | at |
878s | FanFest um we and really trying to help |
883s | people automate uh both from a like |
886s | small corporations that don't have the |
887s | it infrastructure but like from a |
889s | fairness perspective that you like |
892s | weren't even aware that these things |
894s | were possible so trying to take as much |
897s | of this infrastructure that that lers |
899s | have built up and kind of trying to I |
902s | would say um give it give it back to to |
905s | everyone is is is where we're going and |
908s | I think uh Nomad has done a great job of |
911s | finding the the pain points extending |
914s | them in the right way giving |
916s | customization we're rolling out I would |
919s | say almost unlimited control with with |
923s | four contribution methods allowing per |
926s | system per like with time duration like |
929s | incredible depth of of what the what we |
932s | can give to players incredible like |
934s | probably unparalleled in in in gaming |
938s | ever so obviously 10,000 CEOs or a |
943s | thousand CEOs or directors can can now |
946s | organize better get players out into |
948s | space more than we can do and this is |
951s | all about scaling but it's also just |
952s | about getting out of the way and the |
955s | more that we get out of the way often is |
957s | is is better um but um also how to |
962s | discover content uh we've been working |
964s | on the air opportunities portal um for a |
967s | long time since yeah basically since the |
970s | start trying to make the things that are |
972s | available to you easy to find like |
977s | what's what's close to me who is issuing |
979s | these things uh core projects are they |
982s | available to me am I in corporation um |
985s | air opportunities are there like are |
986s | things available to me as a new player |
988s | so this is this is not onboarding or or |
992s | or or veteran gameplay it's across the |
995s | whole experience and the more we can |
997s | align the ux language and and kind of |
1000s | Discovery mechanisms across the game the |
1002s | better as well we don't want one system |
1004s | in N SEC and another system in HEC so |
1007s | this this to me is a it it it truly is a |
1011s | amazing foundation and extensions of of |
1014s | of a thing that probably most gaming |
1017s | communities or or Med or anyone wouldn't |
1020s | understand but it's extremely powerful |
1023s | to |
1023s | us I think uh the Discover |
1027s | discoverability thing that you mentioned |
1028s | is super important if you are in a small |
1030s | Corporation with maybe only 20 30 |
1031s | members you might be from all sorts of |
1033s | different awkward time zones where |
1035s | people are logging in with there's only |
1036s | two or three people online at a given |
1038s | time and they want to do something um |
1041s | but being able to look at the jobs board |
1043s | on um on the corporation projects if |
1046s | their CEO sets them up and go like oh |
1047s | here's something I can do that will |
1048s | actually |
1049s | you know create value for the |
1050s | corporation he he needs he needs uh a |
1053s | whole bunch of titanium so I'll just go |
1055s | out and shoot some bels bar bring it |
1056s | drop it off get rewarded for it you can |
1058s | monitor the progress on that as well the |
1060s | other thing too I I've heard brought up |
1062s | often when we you know do like player |
1064s | research and stuff is particularly newer |
1066s | players um when they join like a player |
1069s | group for the first time they're often |
1070s | told to like hey go to this website |
1072s | leave the game go to this website log in |
1074s | let it you know let authorize it to |
1076s | access your account you know all these |
1078s | kinds of things which to a a new player |
1080s | especially somebody who is like familiar |
1082s | with the reputation that Eve online has |
1084s | uh in amongst gaming communities might |
1086s | give it a bit of a side eye and be like |
1088s | I don't know about that doesn't sound |
1089s | right but so having all of this stuff |
1091s | contained within the client um means |
1093s | it's more accessible and just feels a |
1095s | little bit Cozier for a new person who |
1097s | might be um starting out an Eve online |
1099s | just makes the whole experience more |
1101s | holistic which is really really cool um |
1103s | we mentioned sip before but there's a |
1105s | whole bunch of other stuff that's been |
1106s | added you can now do a lot more make |
1108s | your projects a lot more granula um and |
1111s | uh you can limit contribution methods to |
1113s | certain uh quantity per certain member |
1115s | so one person can't just come in and |
1117s | like you know Monster the whole thing |
1119s | you know they can only maybe contribute |
1121s | up to 20% of whatever it is that you |
1122s | need and so everybody else has to make a |
1124s | contribution and it has really has to be |
1126s | a group eff effort to to pull that off |
1129s | um but moving from um home front onto |
1133s | player identity now I wanted to talk |
1134s | about the latest iteration at the |
1135s | Paragon Hub because two long requested |
1138s | um uh sort of improvements have been |
1140s | made to it and the well technically it's |
1143s | one I was going to say cor and Alliance |
1144s | it's two separate things but now if |
1145s | someone creates um a skin in the Paragon |
1148s | Hub they can list it ex or now they will |
1150s | be able to list it exclusively to |
1152s | members of their own Corporation or |
1154s | Alliance and furthermore after they mint |
1156s | them they can make them available to |
1158s | those alliance members for everm Marks |
1160s | if they so wish instead of actually |
1162s | having to charge them isk or even Plex |
1164s | for the Skins so that kind of dream of |
1166s | like having the the Quarter Master you |
1168s | know we call it a brand managering game |
1170s | but the guy who's in charge of the Corp |
1172s | um designing um you know basically |
1174s | making uniforms for your corporation can |
1176s | can can as a career can actually be a |
1179s | thing now if you say |
1181s | wanted yeah this is a this is a huge |
1184s | thing this is a this is what we always |
1186s | this was always our goal with Skinner |
1189s | was to give people the the uh ability to |
1192s | build costumes uniforms for their squad |
1196s | I mean there's nothing scarier than |
1197s | seeing a uh uh group of hooligans coming |
1200s | running towards you swarm of angry bees |
1203s | yeah in in all the same uniform so this |
1206s | was always a dream and and we're finally |
1208s | getting it h on top of that we're also |
1210s | adding in in some more customization |
1212s | features to to Really uh allow |
1216s | corporations to to express who they are |
1219s | um we're allowing players to to take the |
1222s | patterns that they have and actually put |
1224s | them on top of each other and and kind |
1225s | of allow them to Nest or cut out or at |
1228s | or or kind of you know whatever you want |
1231s | to uh we're also adding whole heap of |
1234s | new patterns uh to the game uh and a lot |
1237s | of them are going to be you can you will |
1239s | be able to you know find them while |
1241s | doing other content uh it's not just |
1244s | it's not just going to the store and |
1246s | buying stuff but actually going into the |
1247s | world and finding it and and and uh you |
1251s | know using it yourself for getting it to |
1253s | your your brand manager your corpse |
1255s | brand manager so that's a that's a huge |
1258s | activation activation moment um and yeah |
1261s | I think this is a this is what we always |
1264s | wanted to do we wanted to wanted to |
1266s | empower corporations to really color the |
1269s | space that they're in and this has been |
1271s | a kind of ongoing conversation with the |
1273s | community now for for years upon years |
1275s | of years yeah I mean I'm think I'm |
1277s | obviously I'm thinking of the um that |
1279s | really ancient Hello Kitty scorpion from |
1282s | like 15 years ago that somebody made a |
1284s | mockup of of like you know this is how |
1286s | you could design your ships and Eve and |
1288s | obviously the great work that Amber from |
1289s | you know AKA Kar Prime Pony Club has |
1291s | been doing over the years just sort of |
1292s | skinning on his own and send posting |
1294s | them online people going CCP when we can |
1296s | do this you can do it now and you know |
1298s | this all goes back again to I think was |
1300s | it vidiian where we introduced structure |
1303s | skins yeah I can't remember yeah so |
1305s | first you could just first you could |
1307s | just paint your structure skins and you |
1309s | could do like three things you know |
1310s | three layers to it and then we brought |
1312s | out Skinner and then we now we're adding |
1315s | more um more patent slots more materials |
1318s | and like you said you can find them |
1320s | through in-game activity you might even |
1321s | find like a rare you know shade of green |
1324s | that no one else can have just to sort |
1325s | of like make your skins a little bit |
1326s | more excus exclusive um it's it's |
1329s | another it's another really good example |
1330s | of just like the progressive development |
1332s | on this one feature and just sort of |
1333s | polishing and polishing and polishing it |
1334s | and expanding it and getting it closer |
1336s | and closer to sort of like what the |
1337s | dream has been all along and I think |
1339s | that's that's really for me being very |
1342s | consistent with like development in the |
1344s | last a year year and a half or so and |
1347s | you know the the starting out as a |
1349s | foundation with the structure skins as |
1350s | an example of like how far we've come |
1352s | and how we continued to work on this |
1354s | yeah I mean this has been kind of our |
1355s | goal since since Uprising and and since |
1358s | we kind of went back to expansions is to |
1360s | be more iterative in how we work is to |
1363s | kind of start small and built on it and |
1366s | I I feel now that we're we're kind of |
1369s | with Revenant we're really closing the |
1371s | loop on you know uh ship skins and |
1374s | Corporation projects like they you know |
1376s | now with all of a sudden it makes sense |
1377s | together and and you know you can start |
1380s | to connect the dots why we're working on |
1381s | these two things in parallel and and I |
1384s | think this is a great example of like |
1387s | you know when the when the what is it |
1389s | like the sum of all parts is greater |
1391s | than something something the GTO yeah uh |
1395s | yeah this is one of those moments where |
1396s | you can see like when these when these |
1398s | come together uh there's this will I |
1401s | think really Drive uh uh organizations |
1405s | through the roof and and you know |
1407s | strengthen them and this is a classic |
1410s | example of of the thing that we wanted |
1413s | is just simply too big to make in one go |
1417s | it we it couldn't be done and it was |
1421s | very complex and it it need it needed a |
1424s | lot of faith to to to actually for the |
1427s | company to start working on it but when |
1430s | we had identified like a through line we |
1433s | could do it first this and this and this |
1436s | the biggest risk in the whole thing was |
1438s | really with will we how long will it |
1441s | take players to get where we're going |
1445s | because they only see a piece of it on |
1447s | the way there's like we're we're asking |
1449s | for a lot of faith we're asking for a |
1451s | lot of trust and patience to get to that |
1455s | place uh but we can't either promise |
1458s | something in time we could we didn't |
1461s | know how long it would take to get here |
1463s | it took four expansions to go from |
1466s | having no customization at all Beyond |
1469s | skins to fully customizable |

1534s | add and add to it and it's just a start |

1551s | some love to something kind of small but |
1553s | profound which is our new randomization |

1558s | super creative like me it is so awesome |

1562s | randomize button because like it really |
1565s | just shows you what is creatively |
1567s | possible and it kind of creates like a a |
1569s | good starting space if you don't know |
1572s | like where you want to go with something |
1573s | or or how to be visually creative like I |
1576s | go go in there and check this out |
1577s | because like it it just kind of adds a |
1579s | whole new experience to this and I I |
1581s | love it so such a small thing but it's |
1583s | it's G to have like such a huge impact |
1585s | for people and you get filtered by |
1588s | showing only things you own so it's kind |
1590s | of like show me just the stuff that I |
1592s | could make but then also show me |
1595s | anything I could make and that makes it |
1597s | even Wilder it's like one of it like |
1600s | being in my brain when you press around |
1603s | yes just like a a random mess of colors |

1609s | why be it was like one of those cocktail |
1610s | apps where you just like put in every |
1612s | bottle of liquor that you have in the |
1613s | house and you press a button and it |

1646s | projections and deal and stuff like that |

1650s | already in your client um but um moving |
1654s | on now to some of the other content that |
1656s | came out um or that is coming out in uh |
1659s | Revenant uh talk about like objectives |
1662s | in space uh things to get people uh |
1665s | active out in space and um uh either |
1669s | looking after themselves or maybe sort |
1671s | of uh enticing them come out of stations |
1674s | and maybe putting themselves at risk of |
1675s | other people who might pounce on them um |
1678s | aami or RAR or burer do you want to talk |
1681s | a little bit about like the mercenary DS |
1683s | which are coming up what they do and you |
1685s | know what was the design goals behind |
1686s | that yeah I'd be happy to to jump on |
1689s | that one so uh one of the biggest new |
1691s | sort of features that you'll you'll see |
1693s | in Revenant is something called a |
1694s | mercenary Dent uh and what it is is it's |
1697s | a Deployable object that you can put |
1700s | onto a temperate Skyhook uh in nsec |
1703s | right now and this is definitely tied |
1706s | into the death list and who they are if |
1707s | you're thinking about mercenary dens |
1709s | you're probably thinking like The |
1711s | Wretched Hive of scum and villainy and |
1712s | that's a little bit what it is um so |
1715s | you'll deploy these things onto onto |
1717s | skyhooks they are meant to be sort of |
1719s | when we're thinking about the |
1721s | granularity of of objectives and content |
1724s | there's something that solo people can |
1726s | do or small groups can participate in um |
1729s | and what you want to do is is kind of |
1731s | tend to these things so you can use them |
1733s | to create uh and generate um encrypted |
1736s | infomorph so basically the there there's |
1739s | the story kind of is they're stealing |
1741s | clones and turning them into infomorph |
1743s | that you'll take back to the the |
1745s | deathless to do things with we'll talk |
1746s | about those things later um and it's |
1750s | going to come with a couple of |
1751s | additional systems on top of this so |
1753s | there is an anarchy and development |
1754s | system basically which means that if |
1757s | you're attending to this thing you'll be |
1759s | making more encrypted infomorph so |
1761s | you'll get your rewards faster um but if |
1764s | you leave this thing in space and don't |
1766s | tend to it then it will create Anarchy |
1768s | which will then begin to suppress |
1770s | Workforce so if you can kind of tell |
1773s | already there is a little bit of um |
1776s | tactical play there in that if you want |
1778s | to deploy these around your own |
1780s | corporation's skyhooks you might want to |
1782s | be tending to them fairly regularly but |
1785s | you may also want to deploy these |
1787s | against some of your enemies or other |
1788s | people because if you do that um |
1790s | strategically it's going to start to |
1792s | surpress Workforce which will have a a |
1794s | massive Rippling effect potentially on |
1797s | uh on the sort of SV ecosystem so this |
1800s | is just a small piece and kind of an |
1802s | example of how we can expand onto the S |
1805s | system and uh create a different sort of |
1809s | level of granularity for gameplay um and |
1812s | and really expand on those sort of like |
1815s | tactical opportunities for for people on |
1817s | different levels everything from like |
1819s | Skyhook rating uh citadels and and sort |
1822s | of like mercenary dens and and stuff |
1824s | like that so we're always looking to |
1826s | sort of like philosophically from a |
1828s | design perspective fill fill those gaps |
1831s | look look for opportunities to find |
1833s | different levels of of play for people |
1835s | and and the mercenary Den is is one of |
1837s | the new ones in this in the Revenant |
1839s | expansion and on that we did a bit of a |
1841s | deep dive uh with um DCP trash pan in |
1844s | ccbb uh which we played during the |
1847s | alliance Tournament final weekend which |
1849s | sort of went into the mercenary dens how |
1851s | do they work and what they do you can |
1852s | find the VOD of that on this Eve online |
1855s | YouTube channel now if you want to get |
1856s | caught up always there but then of |
1857s | course the patch notes we'll have some |
1859s | more information about those when |
1860s | they're published but on that subject |

1874s | you know tactical uh objectives in space |

1879s | all sizes or something like that um I've |

1918s | we we started building up a framework of |
1921s | okay what if I'm solo what if I'm |
1923s | multiboxing like my little Fleet what if |
1925s | I'm multiboxing a big Fleet what if I'm |
1927s | actually not multiplying I'm in a small |
1929s | gang with some friends and my NC Po and |
1932s | HEC and starting TR to create like a |
1934s | matrix of activities that that are |
1937s | discoverable fun achievable |
1941s | lucrative and then from the other side |
1943s | who's going to build these who's going |
1944s | to make them why are they there Etc and |
1946s | try to populate the game uh or space |
1950s | preferably not through Dev related I I |
1954s | we don't want to spawn these things |
1955s | necessarily ourselves we want them to be |
1958s | the result of player activity and that |
1961s | the first one of these was really the |
1963s | the |
1964s | ESS ESS sici funds of player activity |
1967s | into a bank that can barely be stolen |
1969s | from and that actually created a lot of |
1972s | sustainable Evergreen content esss are |
1975s | very popular people run like attack ESS |
1978s | is uh hundreds of times a day Across the |
1982s | Universe um and there's engagement as |
1985s | well is trying to find the es keys and |
1987s | selling them so that's a little |
1988s | ecosystem just around that and we want |
1992s | to use that idea to build more of these |
1995s | things Sky hooks is absolutely a version |
1998s | of that players build them they they |
2001s | they convert Planet resources into into |
2004s | usable things uh for other people to |
2007s | steal or for you to to to exploit |
2009s | yourself I'll just say that on the slide |
2011s | now but just the slide people looking at |
2012s | now these are just some examples for |
2014s | example of the different scales of of |
2016s | these sort of tactical objectives that |
2018s | existed prior to Equinox you know the |
2019s | ESS is that cisari pointed out of course |
2022s | you can go around bashing Citadel you've |
2023s | got full blown sovereignty Warfare uh |
2026s | and opportunistic hunting here is |
2027s | basically we're just referring to |
2028s | roaming although roaming is technically |
2030s | doesn't have an objective other than |
2032s | just to find people and kill but but the |
2034s | people if they people out in space |
2036s | tending to these things you know like |
2037s | engaging with ess's that gives your gang |
2040s | something to go and chase after even if |
2042s | you yourself aren't chasing the ESS and |
2046s | um in Equinox and coming up from |
2047s | Revenant we're adding a couple more uh |
2049s | you just started talk about Sky hooks |
2051s | then C superti sorry to interrupt you |

2053s | continue uh yeah uh you roaming can be |
2057s | roaming but roaming can also be uh I |
2058s | would say high value hunting or whale |
2060s | whale hunting so that that definitely is |
2063s | is something a specialized uh roaming |
2066s | activity in in some way um yeah but we |
2069s | it it wasn't really many things that |
2071s | kind of got generated and uh through |
2075s | player action except literally citadels |
2077s | which are not things that you can attack |
2079s | as a small gang it it just isn't nothing |
2083s | with timers really so we we went into |
2086s | this mind space of okay deployables |
2087s | something that doesn't have timers we |
2089s | need to fill in this this this uh area |
2092s | of of of things to do so that's where |
2096s | methanes come from that's where the uh |
2099s | the original moon miner came from um and |
2103s | now we even have this layer on top of |
2105s | the sky hook there's a like a secondary |
2109s | smaller thing to attack so this is this |
2112s | is all in in line with the philosophy of |
2115s | of of making players generate content or |
2119s | opportunities for others then the |
2121s | discoverability is also something that |
2123s | we talked about a lot especially around |
2125s | SK Sky hooks when do I know they're |
2127s | coming out of reinforcement when do I |
2129s | know these things when can I find where |
2131s | can I find them and when when are they |
2132s | available to me uh so that's are they |
2135s | ever green are they always available and |
2138s | we're just filling in this blank and now |
2140s | we have so much so much uh opport or |
2144s | many opportunities to to add more of |
2146s | these there's nothing stopping us from |
2149s | from adding loads of of of these kind of |
2152s | tactical objectives into |
2154s | space maybe something that Greg or |
2158s | Okami talk about cool future future yeah |
2162s | I I mean just just to share a little bit |
2164s | too like it's it's another new sort of |
2166s | design Paradigm of how something can |
2168s | impact um another system so part of why |
2171s | Equinox is so interesting and and and |
2174s | from a design perspective is we have all |
2176s | these levers we can we can work with we |
2178s | can have structures that siphon things |
2180s | off of other things so we're taking |
2182s | Workforce and turning them into |
2183s | something else we can have structures |
2185s | that could boost things um that you want |
2188s | to protect um so so this is the start of |
2191s | a new paradigm um and this is just the |
2193s | first sort of like version of of what |
2195s | we're seeing as to how we can work work |
2197s | with it from a design perspective which |
2199s | is super cool I'm really excited about |
2201s | it the scale of the of the mercenary Den |
2203s | is too is literally just a thing a |
2205s | single player can go anchor on a |
2207s | structure and then tend to it you know |
2209s | if they want to if if if they if their |
2211s | Alliance leaders are like okay yeah go |
2213s | choose a Skyhook but you better you |
2215s | better take care of those tactical |
2216s | operations because if we start losing |
2217s | you know |
2218s | Workforce output goes down you know it's |
2220s | your ass sort of thing um a |
2225s | little I can even see like even smaller |
2228s | uh I just pain this to to to account |
2231s | this morning as pick like structures you |
2235s | you you just sneak up to something and |
2237s | you you just like put a |
2239s | tiny Deployable and you start and then |
2242s | someone needs to go kind of check out |
2244s | and like de delous the system because |
2247s | there's there's been multiple small |
2249s | Pirates kind of just like leeching off |
2251s | and and just no one noticing it so |
2254s | there's like loads of things we can do |
2255s | here and I even forgot uh when we when |
2258s | we did the first faction Warfare revamp |
2261s | a lot of the new activities were about |
2263s | actually deploying things into space |
2265s | that other people then interact with |
2268s | propaganda outposts and and those kinds |
2270s | of things we didn't want them just to be |
2272s | kill NPC and then happens we wanted to |
2274s | be a a thing that you do that creates a |
2277s | Target for |
2279s | others yeah and also like these the the |
2282s | mercenary ts are uh they're actually |
2284s | quite small when they're you know |
2286s | they're they're actually you know fairly |
2289s | small ships can put them into their |
2290s | cargo so you don't need a massive hall |
2292s | or anything like this so it's it's quite |
2294s | accessible for for many um and it's it's |
2298s | quite exciting because you you can both |
2299s | use this as a like as a offensive thing |
2302s | you can drop it on your enemy or you can |
2304s | you know use it you know to build up |
2307s | your own kind of your own space carton |
2310s | um so it's a there are multiple |
2313s | Dimensions to this new tool and and it's |
2315s | going to be interesting to see where the |
2317s | matter will lend on |
2320s | it uh let's talk a little bit now about |
2323s | some of the new ships that are coming uh |
2325s | I heard someone say once Eve online is a |
2328s | game about internet spaceships so let's |
2329s | talk about the internet spaceships uh I |
2332s | said at the top of the the stream that |
2333s | you know like uh Kari mimar pirate |
2336s | faction finally uh also kops battle |
2340s | cruiser dope brand new weapon system as |
2343s | well which caused a little bit of |
2344s | consternation when we first sort of like |
2346s | went into some of the details on it but |
2348s | I think things have calmed down a little |
2349s | bit and people have sort of gotten over |
2351s | the initial kneejerk and and have uh |
2354s | decided to see how it kind of plays out |
2356s | but um yeah so the deathless ships are |
2359s | coming the tholos and the senat uh |
2361s | somebody I'm going to press a button to |
2363s | start playing a video someone's picked |
2364s | this up for me sure I mean I I I can |
2367s | start um yeah really like the design |
2370s | philosophy here first of all was pretty |
2372s | simple it was it was we we had a ho to |
2374s | fill here which was which was the matar |
2377s | held pirate faction ships um so that was |
2381s | that was One Direction uh and then we |
2383s | wanted to think about like thematically |
2385s | we actually part of our design process |
2387s | we actually wrote some stories about |
2388s | what an experience might be like in some |
2390s | of these ships and that kind of helped |
2392s | inform what what the whole design and |
2395s | and how that unfolded uh and so really |
2398s | these kind of like we we looked at the |
2400s | the deathless as a faction who they were |
2402s | what they kind of represented and what |
2404s | they they felt like to us as designers |
2406s | and really they kind of ended up feeling |
2409s | like like Rogues right like Rogues and |
2410s | Scoundrels mercenaries and so the the |
2413s | theming Behind These is really these |
2416s | these powerful sort of cloaked ships |
2419s | that you want to get in and be very |
2422s | skillful with um so you know when you're |
2425s | kind of stalking and and getting ready |
2426s | to jump on top of your opponent um and |
2430s | then uh you you you appear and unleash |
2433s | hell on them uh now there is a high |
2435s | skill cap we we genuinely believe |
2437s | there's a high skill cap on these so |
2438s | they will be powerful but they're going |
2440s | to be hard to hard to use they have |
2442s | split weapons and they are they're quite |
2444s | slow um and I don't think they're going |
2446s | to be something that's used in in like |
2449s | massive you know quantities and fleets |
2451s | and stuff but you're going to want a few |
2452s | of these and you're going to want to |
2453s | know when to use them and if you are |
2456s | skillful with them they will be quite |
2458s | quite powerful and something to be |
2460s | feared and that is something we want to |
2461s | kind of go out the door with and of |
2463s | course we'll pay attention to the tuning |
2465s | and the balance of these things over |
2466s | time um but I'm looking forward to |
2469s | getting into some of these and seeing |
2470s | what they can do um and and with that |
2473s | maybe jumping into a little bit about |
2475s | the the weapons and and and what they |
2477s | are and how they work as well so as we |
2479s | mentioned uh earlier with the mercenary |
2482s | dens the basically the the culmination |
2484s | of your activities with mercenary dens |
2486s | is going to lead to some of these |
2488s | rewards and weapons the new ships and |
2490s | weapons with the death list so um we're |
2492s | tying all of these things together |
2494s | thematically and so our new scare |
2496s | breacher pods are basically uh these |
2498s | pods that the deathless are creating uh |
2501s | war clone soldiers for you to fire at |
2504s | into other ships and so if you can |
2505s | imagine like you're firing these little |
2507s | PODS of soldiers that are burrowing |
2508s | through Shields and they're they're |
2510s | burrowing into the Hall of a ship and |
2512s | and then they're they're going in there |
2513s | and kicking open doors as like the sort |
2515s | of like anti anti Soldier Weaponry is is |
2520s | demolition charges and yeah exactly so |
2522s | little explosions going off and things |
2524s | like that so um very excited new new new |
2527s | uh damage type as well so damage over |
2529s | time I know that's like a staple in many |
2531s | games but this is the first time Eve |
2533s | seeing it so we're going to see new |
2535s | creative ways of destroying people new |
2538s | strategies at play and uh really just uh |
2542s | I'm I'm super curious to see what what |
2544s | people do with this um and that that |
2546s | opens up new design you know territories |
2549s | for us in the future as well I'm sorry |
2551s | like cpar just like teleported behind us |
2554s | and switch camera sure he'll be around |
2557s | we'll come back in come back to that in |

2569s | weapon I I was reflecting on the initial |
2572s | reaction to it the other day and I I |
2573s | mentioned this to to to the three of you |
2575s | while were chatting about it but it begs |
2577s | repeting here what I said what I said to |
2579s | them was like imagine all right this is |
2581s | a thought experiment for for twitch chat |
2583s | as well |
2584s | imagine stealth bombers did not exist in |
2587s | EV on line they never had you know you |
2588s | hadn't even heard of the concept for it |
2590s | and then in this expansion we say hey |
2592s | there's going to be this new Ships |
2593s | coming stealth bombers we gave you all |
2595s | the kind of details people would be like |
2598s | wait you're telling me there's a frig |
2600s | siiz ship that can cloak that has a |
2605s | unique weapon type that does uh AOE |
2609s | damage in a 30 km radius for 6,000 |
2612s | damage it's like CCP you've lost your |
2616s | marbles this is going to destroy the |
2618s | game this is going to ruin every type of |
2619s | gameplay out there you'll be able to |
2621s | take out entire Battleship fleets with |
2623s | just a a small gang of these and it's |
2626s | like yeah you will but in order to |
2628s | achieve that you have to like you have |
2630s | to like plan meticulously you have to |
2632s | coordinate with your Fleet mates you |
2634s | have to execute the attack run perfectly |
2636s | in order to pull the things off and on |
2639s | paper stealth bombers sound you know |
2642s | kind of kind of broken um but in |
2645s | application and Eve online they've been |
2647s | an incredibly cool tactical addition to |
2650s | any scale of combat um and when large |
2653s | fleets go against each other like in so |
2656s | block scale Warfare they usually you |
2658s | know often they bring along a wing of of |
2660s | bombers just to try and like either |
2661s | throw some void bombs uh at their lodgy |
2664s | or try and get a lucky bombing run off |
2666s | like a like a caracal support Fleet or |
2668s | something like that something nice and |
2669s | Squishy and I think this is how we're |
2671s | going to see the same thing with the |
2672s | deathless ships like you'll be able to |
2674s | use them in small scale applications |
2675s | certainly but um imagine just like a |
2678s | handful of these of thoses getting boed |
2680s | on top of the enemy lodgy and then you |
2682s | know spraying the breaching pods on |
2684s | everyone and then trying to get the hell |
2686s | out or doing that in the middle of the |
2687s | main Fleet and logy having to deal with |
2688s | all these broadcasts because people |
2690s | everywhere are taking damage it's going |
2692s | to be it's going to be crazy but I think |
2693s | in a really cool chaotic kind of way so |
2697s | um just like stealth bombers were a |
2699s | fantastically additive thing to sort of |
2701s | like the Dynamics of of um PVP and Eve |
2704s | online I think these are going to be |
2706s | totally awesome as well and as you said |
2708s | we'll be monitoring how they're being |
2710s | used and if they are oppressive uh |
2712s | you've already mention to me you don't |
2714s | have to say anything here on stream of |
2715s | course but um you've already mentioned |
2717s | to me like a couple of like you know |
2719s | concepts for counterplay that could be |
2722s | uh incorporated into the game as well |
2723s | which also sounded super interesting so |
2725s | some ways I'm kind of actually hoping |
2726s | they're a little bit broke because I |
2728s | mean let's let's Jam Let's Jam Let's Jam |
2731s | live why not just roll out a whiteboard |
2733s | instead yeah draw some stuff up but no |
2736s | really like I I think you know as we add |
2738s | new things to the game like a like a new |
2740s | damage type that invites new strategies |
2743s | so we want to see how that plays out and |
2745s | like where that kind of feels its meich |
2747s | in the meta and then we can start to |
2749s | look at like there's going to be new |
2751s | ship and ships and there's going to be |
2753s | new modules in the future like how do we |
2755s | come up with effective counterplay to |
2757s | those things right like instead of just |
2759s | maybe nerfing things or taking things |
2761s | away we start to look at like well can |
2763s | we there's damage over time can we have |
2765s | heal over time can we have you know all |
2767s | these different concepts that exist um |
2769s | like the there's a ton of possibilities |
2772s | and and and we are going to see a new |
2773s | meta now and that's an exciting thing I |
2775s | think that's that's really interesting |
2777s | and um that that offers us a ton more |
2780s | interesting space in design and how we |
2783s | approach uh coming up with new ships in |
2785s | the future |
2786s | too Sant might actually Dethrone the |
2789s | Widow as my favorite ship in the game uh |
2792s | so it looks cool as man it's so |
2794s | good and we've I flown them in play test |
2796s | and uh fought against some of the guys |
2798s | on the community team and yeah they're a |
2800s | lot of fun to play really hard to sort |
2801s | of Juggle split uh split damage types |
2804s | but you basically got three damage types |
2806s | right each one's you got missiles you |
2807s | got guns and you've got the breacher Pod |
2809s | and you have to sort of like coordinate |
2810s | the timing for everything perfectly I'm |
2812s | terrible at it but some people are going |
2814s | to make these absolutely sing yeah and I |
2817s | have to say like art really I mean gez |
2821s | these these ships look amazing and it's |
2823s | been so much fun following like kind of |
2826s | you know the the deathless station um |
2828s | the fulro station and and uh the hanger |
2832s | inside there and you can really see |
2833s | these kind of design elements come |
2835s | through this kind of calari minmatar you |
2837s | know the utilitarian and the duct tape |
2839s | kind of come together and create |
2841s | something truly |
2843s | magnificent yeah Mad Max Frankenstein |
2846s | out of the chopping up two ships and |
2848s | Welding them together they're sick I I |
2851s | expect one day we'll see an extension to |
2854s | the ship line I can't say see what uh |
2856s | what other sort of like weird mashups |
2859s | come out of uh for the |
2861s | deathless um and as I mentioned at the |
2864s | top of the stream now moving on also |
2866s | mentioned that we will be talking about |
2868s | some things that we haven't spoken about |
2869s | like previously in any of the |
2870s | communications about the content for |

2917s | mention is probably Marauders Marauders |
2920s | are getting a little tweaking and tuning |
2921s | they're a bit oppressive right now um |
2923s | philosophically we don't want to like |
2925s | super Nerf them because we want them to |
2927s | be aspirational and Powerful but they |
2928s | are getting a couple of changes so |
2930s | that's something to watch out for um |
2932s | there's a much longer list of other |
2935s | ships that are just getting small tweaks |
2936s | and improvements things that haven't |
2938s | been feeling like they're sitting well |
2940s | right now in the meta and so so a lot of |

3053s | with a bunch of uh useless modules that |

3057s | tried to tried to mutate and change um |
3060s | you can you can grind them up into dust |
3062s | and turn them into new and even more |
3064s | powerful mut plasms than before so |
3066s | there's a there's a use and a purpose |
3068s | for those things and a whole ecosystem |
3070s | behind uh behind mut plasms now so um I |
3074s | know Burger likes that one as your |
3076s | you're big this is my favorite this is |
3079s | my favorite this is a a small tiny in |
3083s | the scope of things smart deoration of a |
3086s | system that |
3088s | had loads of potential but we only just |
3092s | made the basic just a basic core Loop |
3094s | now with this addition it just like it |
3096s | multiplies across like all the Spectrum |
3099s | it just completes the loop and I love |
3102s | when things start to like yeah you get |
3104s | the first version but you get the second |
3105s | version that has the like the well |
3107s | thought out details and it can even go |
3110s | further there's like plenty of space to |
3112s | to to use M plasms elsewhere and and |
3115s | across the universe but just this core |
3117s | Loop is now complete in that sense I I |
3120s | love the idea that system you'll be able |
3122s | to take a a brick module which get you |
3125s | know when you brick a module it's |
3126s | usually kind of like oh it's a sad |
3127s | moment but at least now you've got like |
3129s | the silver lining of like all right I'll |
3131s | turn it into into Abyssal fairy dust and |
3134s | use it again another mutation I'm going |

3144s | does right he keeps all of his bricked |
3146s | modules and then at like the end of the |
3147s | year whenever the alliance does like the |

3153s | them to that other person as a secret |
3155s | Santa gift and tell them to go and find |
3157s | the one good module amongst all the |
3160s | brick modules so they have to sit there |
3161s | and look at each one individually and |
3162s | look at the bars and go is that better |
3164s | or worse but thing is there's no good |
3167s | module in there they're all trash so um |

3255s | for instance so now we have you know you |
3257s | can actually have you know track how |
3259s | you're progressing through the |
3260s | dungeon What wave you're on and things |
3263s | like that yeah those little info panels |
3264s | that showed up in the siege of ZJ event |
3266s | will now show up the SES and these these |
3268s | shots are seeing on the screen right now |
3269s | these are Havens and sanctums like you |
3272s | know like and they look unbelievable now |
3274s | I love the god Ray in the Sanel one but |
3276s | please sorry carry on yeah I mean they |
3278s | look amazing and it's it is a huge part |
3280s | of the experience is to when you go in |
3282s | there and and you know that it feels |
3284s | really it feels like you know managing |
3286s | and dangerous um in some cases like yeah |
3289s | we have we've changed a bit how how the |
3291s | NPCs behave but our goal is not |
3293s | necessarily to to to flip these you know |
3296s | on it on their head um and this is a lot |
3300s | of Dungeons and there are a lot of edge |
3302s | cases so so don't hesitate if you find |
3304s | issues you know drop us a bug report but |
3307s | I think this is a this is a beautiful |
3309s | step forward it's an important step |
3310s | forward and we will continue on this on |
3313s | this path updating all of our content |

3341s | we're constantly evolving it and it's a |
3342s | very important it's a very important |
3345s | element in developing Eve and we're |
3346s | constantly balancing this like you know |
3348s | new versus old like you know when should |
3350s | we add new things to the game when |
3352s | should we re renovate stuff and when |
3354s | should we kind of take a step back and |
3356s | and you know some of the the the good |
3358s | old content which is often times very |
3360s | you know Wonderful content um and and |
3364s | one of one other big thing that we're |
3366s | looking at this time around is uh we're |
3368s | kind of continuing our our um |
3372s | Improvement on on ships and making ships |
3374s | the heroes of the game like it's a |
3376s | spaceship game about spaceships let's |
3378s | let's always make sure that that we're |
3380s | improving that experience so one of the |
3382s | super cool things that we're looking at |
3384s | this time around is that we're updating |

3387s | ship show info window um and we're |
3389s | making it look a bit less like like uh a |
3393s | spreadsheet thing and and more like a |
3395s | car Brer but don't wor but Burger I like |

3465s | more information you can minimize it or |

3469s | allow yourself to go deeper and deeper |

3483s | time um and this should be a huge thing |

3578s | the like the Zealot for example and the |
3580s | Redeemer and we've actually added this |
3583s | flavor text to all Empire ships uh some |
3587s | of the faction ships but there's like a |
3589s | couple of factions that are left uh and |
3591s | we'll be just kind of dropping them in |
3593s | in the in the coming weeks it's a it's a |
3596s | lot of ships and and uh yeah our |
3599s | narrative peeps have been hard at work |
3601s | kind of adding flavor to the ships and |
3603s | it's it's awesome because it just gives |
3604s | it say that that this expansion is a |
3606s | load of ship it's a I mean that that |
3610s | little moment really puts the ship at |
3611s | like the center of the game right and |
3613s | and the it reminded me of I was thinking |
