Fellow capsuleers,
EVE Fanfest returns to Reykjavik, 21-23 September 2023, celebrating 20 years of EVE Online on its journey to forever. Pilots from around the world will soon warp to our small island in the North to take part in the epic revelries, mingle with fellow capsuleers and paint Reykjavik in spectacular New Eden fashion. In addition, all are invited to join us from home through the live stream on CCPTV, for the main program on Friday and Saturday. Like last year, the primary festival venue will be Laugardalshöll Arena, which should be familiar to long-time festivalgoers, as it has hosted several editions of Fanfest in the past. This year however, the celebrations kick off a day earlier, Thursday 21 September in Gróska, before moving to Laugardalshöll Arena on Friday and Saturday.
Registration
As capsuleers make their way to Iceland, they will get the chance to pre-register and pick up their festival passes at Gróska, the home of CCP Games headquarters. Gróska is conveniently located mere minutes away from Reykjavik city center.
Once inside the building, please head over to the two elevators behind the big staircase in the atrium and come up to the 3rd floor where you will find CCP’s reception for registration on Wednesday. On Thursday, registration will take place on the ground floor.
Here are the times you will be able to pick up your EVE Fanfest 2023 Access Pass:
Wednesday 20 September 12:00 – 18:00 at CCP Headquarters
Thursday 21 September 10:00 – 18:00 on the ground floor of Gróska
Friday 22 September 09:00 – 16:00 at Laugardalshöll Arena entrance
Saturday 23 September 09:00 – 16:00 at Laugardalshöll Arena entrance
Live Stream Program
While the number of attendees we can welcome to Reykjavik is limited, all are welcome to join us live via CCPTV starting Friday, 22 September at 9:45 AM UCT. The live stream will give everyone the chance to catch all major announcements made during Fanfest, as well as interviews with developers, players and guest speakers. There will also be Twitch Drops where you get rewarded in-game by watching the stream (if your account is linked), raffles and plenty of fun shenanigans transporting the spirit of Fanfest live to you from Laugardagshöll Arena.
The EVE Keynote takes place Friday, 22 September at 15:00 UTC. New Eden is 20 years old and there is a lot to look back on but even more to look forward to, this year and beyond. The Keynote address will have special, localized streams for our French, German, Russian, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, and Mandarin-speaking pilots. A universe united, indeed!
The On-Site Program in Gróska and Laugardalshöll Arena
It is safe to say that this year’s program is set to rival all previous iterations, and visiting pilots should have plenty of activities to choose from. The schedule is conveniently accessible online via evefanfest2023.sched.com or the Sched mobile app (Android / iOS). This allows you to stay abreast of what happens when and where, and plot a course for you and your fellow capsuleers.
Floorplan
EVE Fanfest x Lady Brewery – Fanfest Beer
As in previous years, we have partnered with a local craft brewery to create a special brew for Fanfest. This year our partners are Lady Brewery, an ambitious brewery with a uniquely creative approach to their craft. With galactic hops and nebula malt, this year’s festival beer is a collector's item for EVE Online enthusiasts and a must-try for beer aficionados. Don't miss your chance to savour the flavors of the universe in a can or on tap. We will unveil the EVE Fanfest x Lady Brewery lager craft beer on the opening day of EVE Fanfest at Gróska on 21 September.
EVE Fanfest x Eimverk - 20 Years in Space Collectors Whisky
In addition to the festival beer, the 20th anniversary of EVE Online also introduces a celebratory set of expertly distilled whisky and gin from local craft distillery Eimverk. These special EVE Online 20 Years in Space Collector's bottles are extremely limited, and have only been made available for online pre-orders, and to Fanfest attendees. They can still be ordered online here, and Eimverk will have a spot in the Trade Hub. No spirit connoisseur should miss the chance to secure one or all of these exquisite bottles to toast to two decades of space adventures.
The Trade Hub
Besides the exciting talks and events of Fanfest 2023, the Arena will be bustling with activity, with the Trade Hub at the center of the action. Here you will find the EVE Merch store, where you can stock up on stylish EVE themed apparel, home accessories and much more!
Art Corner
The Art Corner is a Fanfest classic, offering attendees the chance to peek behind the scenes and check out concept art, creation demos, and portraits, and chat to artists about all things Art of New Eden.
The EVE Artistry Bazaar
You can visit player artists Lloyd George and Luke Handscomb (Lucas Armarlio) at their Bazaar booth and purchase some of their stunning artwork.
Data Booth
The Data Booth gives you a chance to grab your personalized CONCORD Capsuleer Profile from the Data Team and support charity at the same time. All proceeds go to the Children’s Hospital.
Silent Auction
An amazing selection of exclusive EVE swag will be up for auction, and all attendees will get a chance to place their bid to own a piece of New Eden history, all in support of a worthy cause. All proceeds go to the Children’s Hospital.
Pilot License Services
This is your chance to get your Capsuleer Pilot License, which also serves to make a donation to the Children’s Hospital. You can also make a donation and get your choice of Swag for Good.
Board Game Playtest
Titan Forge will be offering Fanfest visitors an exclusive chance to try out the EVE board game they have in development. Be one of the very first to test this exciting, upcoming game.
CCP Recruitment Booth
The HR team will be on site to answer any questions you may have about career opportunities at CCP Games. If you’ve always dreamed of working on the future of New Eden make sure to swing by for a chat.
Genolution Resculpting Bay – Hair, Makeup, Tattoos
This Fanfest classic returns, giving capsuleers the chance to transform their style with the hair and makeup booth, where real-world beauty meets interstellar flair.
The tattoo booth also makes a return, offering the opportunity to commemorate the Fanfest experience for life, with stunning EVE tattoo art.
Food Court
The Trade Hub will feature a seating area, and there will be a delicious selection of food trucks outside the arena. Grab your meal from the trucks and sit down in the food court to enjoy your nibbles.
The Fabric of New Eden
Recently, the Fabric of New Eden large-scale mosaic was composed in collaboration with thousands of capsuleers who completed challenges to get featured on the piece. The Fabric of New Eden will feature prominently in Laugardalshöll Arena for Fanfest, so you can seek out your spot in the mosaic.
The Party at the Top of the World
The cherry on top of an amazing Fanfest will be the Party at the Top of the World on Saturday 23 September. Daði Freyr will be the headlining performer, where he and his band will raise the roof of Laugardalshöll Arena. Ever the life of any party, Daði Freyr has become a sensation in Iceland and abroad, producing dance hits such as “Think About Things” and “10 years” and representing Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest twice in a row, in 2020 and 2021. He will ensure that everybody’s Fanfest experience ends on the highest note possible.
Also on stage that night are our very own Crowd Kon7trol, making their debut live performance, EVE Galactic DJs, DJ xCCP Fleebix and DJ De La Rosa.

Getting Around Town
Reykjavik is not a massive city, but getting from the Arena to the downtown area is a bit of a walk. If you’re in a hurry, or want to save your energy for busting a rug at the Party at the Top of the World, here are a few of the best options for transportation to and from Laugardalshöll Arena.
Hopp electric scooters are an especially convenient way to warp around the city, and they are offering a special Fanfest discount at the festival areas. So if you park a Hopp scooter at Gróska on Thursday, or at Laugardalshöll Arena on Friday and Saturday, the rates are discounted 25% throughout Fanfest, and a whopping 50% at the Arena on Friday morning.

We hope you are as excited as we are for Fanfest 2023. We can’t wait to celebrate 20 years in New Eden with you, whether in person or online. For those of you traveling to Reykjavik, here is a handy guide to help with your visit.
