[2019] I just lost 60% of my net-worth to a bug

Hi,

I've only been playing this game for a week or so, but i've just logged in after the downtime and, after un-docking, no ships or objects were rendering, and there was nothing in my overview. I couldn't even see my own ship or the station i'd just undocked from. I still had my auto-pilot queue on and decided it would be safe to follow it.

So i do a warp to what i assumed was a star-gate (again, I couldn't see anything) but all the sudden I got target locked by something, and i couldn't fire back because he wasn't appearing on screen and wasn't showing up in the overview. I couldn't warp out because there was nothing to warp to in my overview either. My map wouldn't load so i couldn't set a random course to auto-pilot out of.

So, sh*tting myself, as one does in these situations, kills the client and tries to reopen it. And now my character won't load in from the log-in screen.

Is this seriously something i'm just supposed to 'deal with' in this game? I know you can expect to lose sh*t in this game but this just seems ridiculously unfair.
