183s always had this sort of question in the
184s back of my mind what's the plan for
186s everspace 2's future or how does
188s Rockfish operate in this capacity or
189s what blah blah whatever ask them in our
192s chats because we will have certain times
194s during the course of this stream where
195s we will be answering as many as we
198s humanly possibly can if there are more
200s basic questions and whatnot also be
202s primed because we have a lot of very
204s informed Community persons and they will
206s very hopefully respond to you in kind as

216s um through the gameplay segment we are
218s on a development build so that means
220s you're gonna see stuff that isn't
222s actually released yet but is in the
224s pipeline like this blightmonger Hazard
227s plating an upcoming set that we will be
229s launching for free

235s it's a fall update exclusive and by
237s exclusive I mean it's only coming in the
239s fall but it will be for anybody's owning
242s everspace too so that you know that
244s means if you're on Playstation if you're
246s on Xbox if you're on PC doesn't matter
248s where you're from you are going to get
250s this free content just for owning the
253s game as a sort of thank you from us
256s because we just want to add more love
259s into the game Space that's honestly what
260s it comes from so uh yeah gonna be a good
264s old time if any point in time you also
266s have questions about the content that
267s you're seeing that's completely new uh
269s you can ask about it but also know that
271s there could be some limitations in how
274s we can respond since we are uh we
277s actually do have quite a number of
278s elements that we're still kind of
279s holding back from so that you are uh
282s gonna get just a huge package of
284s information when the right time comes
287s that's right even though we have
289s highlighted several new set items
290s already as well as a number of little
292s other features there's still so much

358s something you look towards in the future

362s retaliation effects

367s time goes on where we left off in our
370s story we are playing on nightmare
372s difficulty because I'm a crazy person
374s but also we're doing this to highlight
376s just the challenges that you can face
378s within everspace too as well as just
380s highlight some mid-game high level
382s hopefully high level gameplay
384s experiences that you could also be
385s participating in I am playing with mouse

391s so in last yeah when last we met we had
394s this scout we've been playing ranged
397s carefully arranged
399s so as to not just die instantaneously
401s from everything but I do think we want
403s to change that up I think we want to
404s purchase a new ship so we're going to
406s head over to a ship dealer in today's

411s and grab something new
414s and I don't know what ship options are
415s going to be
416s they could be anything if you guys do
418s want a particular ship though you should
419s sound off in the chat maybe we can work
422s something out but it's probably going to
424s come down to whatever the highest tier
425s ship is let's be real

436s so we're heading back over to this uh
437s Smuggler base this is where our current
440s Mission which is picking up the pieces
441s is leading us to uh we've just
444s discovered kala as we found Eduardo

458s bypasses I think is what they're called
463s no actually I don't think that's what
464s they're called
465s but also I'm skipping cutscenes and
467s whatnot um so if you are interested in
469s the story that's not what today's stream
471s is all about the stream is more about
473s connectivity to our community that's why
475s the questions are going to be the focal
476s point that's why uh there's gonna be
478s lots of explaining little tidbits of
480s game information and details all that

542s increases the weapons damage by one
544s percent up to 25 for eight seconds

628s care that must be taken into just
630s picking things up and plopping it on

639s a prime zapper is awfully tempting but
641s we're gonna sell that
643s Genesis barrier instead of a shield St
646s genesisperia part of the autonomous set
648s this will actually pair with our repair
652s base so I feel like even though the
654s recharge speed is not as good
657s overall this is going to be better for
658s us if not only because of that
661s combination so now while in combat our
663s armor will regenerate two percent per
665s second so long as Shields are full for
668s those who have seen the set before in a
670s prior stream this has changed in fact
672s all of the new content that you'll be
674s seeing from time to time in this could
676s change at any given time up until our
679s release of said content this fall
683s these adjustments have been made for
685s balancing purposes and fairness and also
687s for fun honestly like some stuff just
689s didn't feel as fun that's why you see
690s the changes because now it's more fun

987s so first things first we're getting a
989s new ship let's see what we can find
995s this is not a ship dealer
998s we'll do the mission chain thing first
1001s and then we'll go get a ship

1018s new light faster I don't know we're
1020s gonna see we're gonna see what options
1021s are oh we got some good options we have
1023s a Vindicator I don't know if we've
1025s actually flown a Vindicator yet during
1026s this particular save file that might be
1029s a great option it's also the highest
1031s tier and this is something that we can't
1033s kind of talk about um right now oh I
1035s need a I need to unselect a thing uh
1039s and maybe bring me over just a tad more
1042s there we go
1043s anyway so um for those of you who
1046s haven't seen this ship dealer page there
1049s have been some adjustments in its layout
1051s just some minor adjustments mainly that
1052s you can see the trade in price versus
1054s the full price uh we were noticing that
1056s it kind of was annoying that you would
1058s look at the full price and know that you
1060s couldn't purchase it in the gameplay
1062s like that just kind of it was it was
1064s like a Temptation that was almost like
1065s oh well I can't afford this ship so I
1067s can't even get it right now
1069s um that's kind of untrue because you can
1071s trade them in so that's why we added
1074s this trade-in price here
1075s versus the full price and you can
1077s immediately look at your buy and sell
1080s current as the first option as opposed
1082s to just buy and transfer a new ship
1085s altogether just a little tweak little
1087s adjustment that helps things out quite a
1089s lot otherwise let's look at some of
1091s these other ships really quick oh
1094s that's a beautiful looking Striker
1095s though am I right
1097s gosh that's nice some of those models
1100s been tweaked or adjusted perhaps hmm I

1126s it's gonna be a huge adjustment from
1128s going from a scout to this Vindicator
1132s but I think that's what we want to do

1162s because these can kind of Auto fire and
1163s give us some symbol and some effect even
1165s though it is reduced since it auto fires
1168s but yeah we'll go with that it'll be

1174s and we're just gonna sell these two
1176s we'll work our way back up with credits

1218s want to get into some actual authentic
1220s combat style gameplay which is what
1222s you're going to get a lot of in

1433s collecting loot grants an eight percent
1435s damage reduction for four seconds to a
1438s Max of 40 percent
1441s so straight up when you just collect
1443s loot You're In the Heat of battle and
1444s you just uh have a big pocket of Loot
1447s and you suck it all in you could
1448s probably Max that out pretty quickly
1450s honestly to 40 percent
1452s reducing damage while you're just in
1455s combat for collecting stuff
1458s escort duties set
1459s at two you get a plus 25 increase to
1462s your resistant attribute that's
1465s interesting that's new don't think we've
1466s seen that anywhere else before and at
1469s three you get increased Shields armor
1471s and hole for each free cargo slot hmm
1476s interesting interesting point five
1479s percent increase for all of those so the
1482s more space you have in your cargo the
1485s greater the benefits become
1488s all right let's look and see what we've
1490s got here we've got corrosion mines that

1495s I kind of like our amp missiles a bit

1545s just from the stats that we've kind of
1547s been picking up across the board a lot
1550s of players tend to actually go and
1553s they either stay with the original ship
1555s The Sentinel for a pretty long time
1558s or they will go to a heavy ship
1561s primarily the gunship is the next most
1564s popular option it seems
1570s I guess now's a good time to talk about

1573s the sound design of the game has also
1577s been slowly getting modified as well so
1579s you will in fact

1986s any new weapons
1988s player requests for weapons like the
1991s names as well as how they're operating
1994s um that's that's interesting I mean
1995s technically we have that's something
1998s that we've been tracking um through the
2000s course of the whole Early Access process
2002s while I can't give any particular
2004s examples
2005s um aside from maybe like the backer
2007s legendaries
2009s um it's something that we do monitor
2011s like if people say like oh man it would
2012s have been so cool if we had a weapon
2014s that did this or that or the other thing
2015s I mean we're listening to that we've got
2017s our ears open for that
2019s um and you know some of the
2020s modifications that we're actually
2022s including the item modifications
2025s in this coming uh update we're inspired
2028s by some of those very comments we got
2030s from the community Through Early Access
2032s or even after launch itself
2036s just some cool cool stuff out there and
2039s uh yeah we're definitely open open to
2041s listening and uh seeing what we can do
2044s now I should also caveat that because
2048s you know this is a fully released game
2050s now we're not trying to like fill the
2052s gaps of what's missing because that's
2054s that's not how this works we're very
2055s happy with how everything has come
2057s together
2059s when it comes to adding more from this
2061s point it's more because we can not
2062s because we have to right
2064s so if you're taking this response to
2067s this message is like oh yeah they're
2069s still taking complete feedback and I
2071s have a chance to get my weapon idea into
2072s the game
2074s it's a very slim chance okay very very
2077s slim chance that we would just add a new
2080s item or weapon because a community
2082s person gave us an idea
2084s um it looks more like
2086s that if you were to
2089s comment on something you really enjoy or
2091s something that you kind of was wished

2094s we can evaluate what's currently working
2096s and what's not working and maybe shift
2098s some things around maybe modify

2114s listening to the community in regards to
2116s items not so much naming conventions

2127s probably not nearly as likely

2160s customization since we haven't done that

2363s well as the visual customization side
2366s since there is a bit to it there's a bit

2370s before The Vindicator in particular a
2372s big focus is going to be on your lovely
2374s little drones every single class puts a
2376s lot of emphasis in their expertise which
2379s is one of six main attribute stats for
2382s your ship itself
2384s with expertise being unique towards your
2387s bonus
2389s The Vindicator is a drone boat and as
2391s such it's expertise AIDS it's drones
2400s so

2409s we'll do inventory so here are the six
2411s different attributes that I was talking
2412s about
2413s the main format structure here is that
2416s you know you are a one-man fighter of
2418s course in the game single player
2420s experience
2421s um so you want to kind of optimize your
2423s strategies in order to best benefit your
2426s play style for me I actually want to get
2428s more expertise in this particular build
2430s my drones don't get a lot of benefits
2432s here because this is only it's not even
2433s 600 points of expertise but you can see
2435s this expertise and again it's different
2437s for every single ship class this one
2439s AIDS our drones and increasing their
2441s whole in their damage and also increases
2444s our wreck interaction range so that way
2446s if we're blowing stuff up from far away
2447s we can actually engage with that
2449s wreckage without having to fly up super
2450s close to it in addition to that
2452s expertise you also have your traditional
2454s sort of Firepower your damage output
2456s your Precision which is your critical
2458s hit components that you're going for as
2460s well very good if you can't have more
2462s proc chances of course we're all Gamers
2464s here you understand what that means I'm
2466s certain you do we have structure here as
2468s well which is all about the strength of
2470s your ship as well as reducing the module
2473s damage that means these different
2475s components on board your ship they can
2478s break at times but the greater your
2480s structure is prevents them from getting
2482s broken nearly as much that can start
2484s happening when your hole starts taking
2486s damage when something gets broken it's
2488s not nearly as useful say your railgun
2491s loses its range or your Shield loses its
2495s recharge speed very very damaging stuff
2499s we have resistance which reduces the uh
2502s damage for your hole and also reduces
2505s the conditions that can affect your ship
2507s and we have utility which is all well
2510s mostly about your device usage
2513s um your devices are like your EMP
2514s generator or your magnetic Repulsor
2517s which pushes targets away from you stuff
2518s like that
2519s as well as increases the damage of your
2523s ultimate if it is applicable so lots and
2526s lots of different ways you can structure
2528s your attributes alone but then you have
2530s all of these other parts of your ship
2532s that you can start customizing including
2534s a slew of different weapon types
2535s everything from like this railgun which
2537s is ranged to up close and personal
2538s scatter guns to Middle Ground solutions
2541s that are area of effect like this Flack
2543s and then a variety of secondary weapons
2546s to complement that as well from EMP
2548s missiles to just rockets that super
2551s barrage your opponent
2553s then of course you have all these
2554s different modules that you have to
2556s prepare for your ship including but not
2557s limited to your energy core which is all
2559s about energy management your Shields
2561s which is all about
2562s your Shields your plating which is all
2565s about your armor then you have your
2567s sensors which gives you varying ranges
2569s on what you can see and track then you
2572s have your booster which affects uh how
2574s much you can like how quickly you are
2576s boosting around and recharging that and
2579s then finally the cargo unit which gives
2581s you more cargo slots but also gives you
2582s a lot of other added benefits on its
2585s side every single one of these items
2587s have different modifiers so this one's a
2590s good example ish where the two modifiers
2592s are adding structure and expertise
2595s um kind of I feel like that's kind of
2596s unlucky I like the ones where you get a
2598s lot more
2600s um
2600s stats specific stats that are versatile
2604s I don't have any
2605s on right now are you serious all of
2607s these are just straight up attribute
2609s bonuses do we have any down here okay
2610s yeah so like um
2614s I just I just need one standard module
2616s okay so like for this one as an example
2618s it has the four percent increased
2619s primary weapon damage on an energy core
2622s um or this one has five percent
2624s increased alt Generation
2626s Um or this one has plus uh six percent
2629s increase energy damage all those
2630s percentages kind of stink but if you can
2632s pair them together with the other items
2635s that you're building up you can create
2637s some pretty powerful combinations all
2639s right now all of that's kind of like
2640s this main component of your ship we're
2642s still going though because all of these
2644s stats over here this is going to be
2646s largely affected by the ship class and
2649s the ship class we currently are flying
2650s is this Vindicator which you can see
2652s here
2653s The Vindicator is much more beefy but
2656s also kind of sluggish
2658s let's go ahead and make it look
2660s different
2662s um we're gonna go ahead and use this
2663s custom slot
2665s and start choosing some different colors
2667s but all of the ships are are fully
2669s customizable on this front
2671s um and all of the different ships are
2672s going to have varied stats for your ship
2674s speed and handling and your Shields and
2676s your armor and your hole as well as the
2679s different number of slots on the ship
2681s itself for like weapon slots secondaries
2684s consumables those will vary depending on
2686s your ship so I've given you so much
2689s information on this
2691s right out of the gate like it's you can
2693s tell how expansive it is right and each
2695s one of these ship classes has those
2697s specific traits that are going to make
2698s it better in one field or worse than
2700s another or you know etc etc
2703s um it's it's pretty wild it's pretty
2705s wild let's go ahead and get a little
2706s wild here let's make this Eerie black
2708s we're gonna metallicize it so it gets
2710s nice and dark and reflective

3433s zero spread one of the few weapons that
3435s has zero spread actually

3484s figure this out yourself but if you
3486s haven't noticed set item stats
3490s are not nearly as good as the standard
3492s item stats the benefit comes from being
3495s in a set so if you're utilizing the set
3497s they become very powerful but if you're
3499s not utilizing the set
3502s you know they're not they're not really
3505s that great on their own except in
3507s special circumstances so here I think
3509s what we want to do is we want to pick up
3511s this escort Duty bulkhead we don't have
3514s another set piece of it but I think I
3516s just want that 30 damage reduction to
3519s armor from frontal attacks very
3521s straightforward
3523s get it and it's going to be a nice buy
3527s so we're going to go ahead and buy and
3528s equip and we're just going to sell the
3530s current one

3695s new locations which we've already
3697s alluded to quite heavily could
3699s potentially mean new systems that you
3701s could explore and that style up front
3704s where the game itself is expanding in
3707s its very nature okay mostly missions
3711s side missions jobs uh stuff stuff like
3714s that you're going to see more of uh well
3717s I I said jobs that's not actually fully
3719s accurate more think of missions side
3720s missions locations that's the big thing
3722s to think of regarding the expansion and
3725s that's going to encapsulate a lot a lot
3729s of additional time and opportunity that
3733s you'll get once we get to that point
3735s there are also going to be a number of
3738s additions to the game beyond that we
3740s could very much go into the fact that
3743s um the content the game content like
3746s just items itself for example we could
3748s absolutely add more items as well
3750s through the DLC especially where
3752s relevant or other things of that nature

3757s details as we get closer to it but for
3760s now that's going to be your key

3763s literally expansions on the itemization
3765s as well as a couple of UI tweaks

3881s it was called the deteriorator yes okay

3887s special attribute interact with perks
3889s weapon attributes that trigger on
3891s critical hits critical damage and kills
3894s with crits considering it applies its
3896s crit damage on the corrosion dot I have
3898s to wonder what about crit happens and
3900s Symphony of Destruction yes so basically
3903s if it's creating an area of effect
3904s attack every single enemy that is
3907s considered part of that attack will also
3909s take that corrosion damage so if you're
3911s finding little combinations like that
3913s it should feel like you're cheating in
3916s the best way possible very much intended
3918s and that's how we are moving forward
3919s with that mindset so yeah anytime you
3922s sort of see that style of could this do
3924s that thing that I'm thinking that it's
3926s gonna do the answer is probably yes

3969s incredibly difficult to validate that as
3972s a priority system

3979s is limited for console players whenever
3982s we're making a lot of the decisions for
3984s the game we want it to be an overarching
3986s thing where everyone has full access to
3989s it and while there's certainly a means
3991s to have you know a console open up with
3994s its keyboard and you like type it in by
3996s like moving the the joystick around
3998s absolutely is is possible it's not
4001s nearly as functional and as such we
4004s would more like to Veer away from that
4006s style of Engagement even with the saving
4009s the games the same the names of the the
4012s saves like that was such in dispute
4014s because of that very reason alone and
4016s that's before we get into the topic of
4018s localization as well it's
4021s there's a lot of details that come with
4022s it is basically the short answer here

4026s prioritizing it's not something that we

4998s into an engagement and you die the old
5000s system we have meant that you would have
5002s to start from the beginning of entering
5005s the location the new system will auto

5010s specialty item or complete a special
5013s event in a location and you'll continue
5016s from that point instead that way you're
5018s not going to miss out on something that
5019s you found or work that you've
5021s accomplished if you've been in a

6037s like see the values of each one
6039s um whereas the quick repair just does
6040s all of it and refills your missiles all

6046s missiles is the other one restock repair

6049s um so yeah it's honestly like it
6051s originally just started off as you had
6053s to go in and repair each individual
6055s thing and then we added the quick repair
6056s option on top of that yes it's mostly
6059s used by the majority of people but just
6061s having that secondary option to just see
6064s and get that added information of each
6066s individual part we're not going to
6068s remove it it's there so you can do that
6071s but obviously quick repair is there for
6074s that very fast convenience so yeah

6128s a station that starts the side mission
6130s how would you know that you have to go
6132s to the station or start the side mission

6160s finding it out right it's that sense of
6162s discovery that we don't just give you

6176s and how much more there could
6178s potentially be through various perks and

6351s weapons like the Executioner or for
6353s bloodstar uh can they be obtained
6355s because they think they've heard that uh
6357s you are able to get blueprints for them
6360s so at this time there's not the ability
6363s to do that at a certain point we did
6365s have it do that and it created a lot of
6368s problems actually so what our mentality
6370s was is that there would be two separate
6372s types of items when it comes to crafting
6374s we want it to be as basic as possible it
6377s doesn't actually make a lot of sense to
6378s us that you would just
6380s um be able to build any sort of type of
6383s weapon like if you're gonna build some
6385s sort of Blood star weapon it's going to
6386s be through accident like you're gonna
6388s improvise a you know a scatter gun and
6391s oh my gosh you you fitted it incorrectly
6393s but it actually has become a repeater
6395s right
6396s um and so like you have a chance of
6398s getting that more specialized stuff
6399s through improvising through crafting but
6402s to build out those specific things it's
6405s not something that we wanted to do
6406s otherwise you're crafting blueprints
6408s we're just going to go through the roof
6409s for one
6411s um and also it makes crafting much more
6413s powerful than it's intended to actually
6415s be foreign
6419s it would make crafting much more
6422s powerful than it's intended to be
6424s crafting has always meant to fill in the
6426s gaps and help power you up along your
6429s journey to level 30 but crafting should
6431s not be the means to build exactly what
6435s you need to optimize everything
6438s especially when you're Min maxing and
6440s tweaking and refining in the end game

6532s but you only ever see the one that you
6534s have that you've customized because that
6536s is yours and yours alone and it's
6538s silhouette needs to stand out on that

6541s care in this regards just as Matthias
6544s um making sure that each of the 3D
6546s models uh impacts your style accordingly

6552s reason why we don't want you flying

6655s all I can you know cover on that front

6659s but yeah that's that's kind of it
6664s I don't really think there's anything

6671s yeah I think overall we just wanted to
6674s the ship names to be particularly
6677s specific with a couple of uh backer name
6680s ships and then named Pilots of bounty
6683s ships that you're hunting and that's
6684s that's about as much as we want to do
6685s with the the customization on that front
6688s so maybe there will be more it's it's
6690s hard to say honestly
6692s um we know there's a desire to like name
6694s your own ship but

6696s as I mentioned before there's there's a
6698s few complications with that this shot
6700s comes from Cami
6702s and I actually had a double take on this
6705s because I at first somehow thought that
6707s this was ever space one that looks like
6708s a GMB facility that you could fly by
6711s um and I don't know how I thought the
6712s spaceship itself looked like I never
6714s space one spaceship because it doesn't
6715s at all
6716s um I just I don't know I have like a
6717s memory lapse uh but I do like the way
6720s that they've aligned their ship here uh
6722s the positioning of the planets in the
6723s background it just comes together really
6724s nicely I think they did a good job so

6739s kind of like what a crispy muffin was on
6741s that sense of scale when you're flying
6743s through Drake especially in these sites

6748s the light shimmers through these ice
6751s droids gosh I just love the effects so
6753s much everything everything comes
6755s together incredibly well here
6757s bringing it to fruition and it's just a
6760s sound screenshot so very well done on
6762s that front because on I'm going to
6764s transfer over to one more shot this one
6765s comes from number nine uh this is their
6769s first shot of three let's go ahead and
6770s answer another question as we're gonna
6772s cycle through a couple of theirs
6774s right pesky husky over on YouTube is
6778s wondering you picked up the Omni Manus
6780s which was the legendary at level 19 and
6783s obviously he when you reach level 30 can
6785s you keep upgrading the Omni Madness one
6787s level at a time by investing resources
6789s or does he have to get a new one at
6791s level 30 for example I would have to get
6793s a new one at level 30.
6795s um there were you could almost say there
6797s were some disputes internally on how we
6799s would manage the way that um Imus would
6801s grow with the player But ultimately we
6803s decided on this method where the items
6805s stay the level that they are with the
6807s modification of allowing it to go up one
6809s level except for legendaries because
6811s legendaries are a huge boost to where
6814s you're currently at if you're not level
6816s three yet even in the gameplay segment
6819s that you saw when I picked that thing up
6820s the stat increases were absurd it's just
6824s a massive jump even though it was the
6826s exact same level of the currently being
6829s used armor so I had to use that
6831s legendary and it's going to get phased
6833s out it's not going to get phased out of
6834s me it'll actually last pretty soundly
6836s for maybe three four and even five
6839s levels depending on what else it is I
6842s find but inevitably much like all the
6844s other components of your ship you do
6846s have to find ways to cycle them out for
6848s something that is better even if that
6849s means experimenting with new tools that
6852s you hadn't done or with of course when
6855s you reach that level 30 point then it's
6857s all about those legendaries and figuring
6860s out how it binds together with the rest
6862s of your ship to maximize your abilities
6864s but until you reach that point
6868s um those legendaries you could find
6869s along the way will serve you quite well
6872s for a number of levels quite strongly
6875s that's intended that they get phased out
6879s this shot also comes from number nine
6882s um I think it's a pretty cool shot just
6884s in general always neat seeing how you
6887s guys are taking down your foes there's
6888s something about the Redeemer being
6890s upside down here and just the it's
6893s almost like
6894s it's almost like the Redeemer is a
6895s missile that they fired off their vessel
6899s it's I don't know I don't know how to
6901s describe the city better but I I like
6903s this shot

6958s the end of the day we know that each of
6961s the ships should have a respectable
6964s amount of customization equal to each of
6969s the other classes of ships and if we
6971s were to draw that level of attention
6973s Into The Vindicator well depending on
6976s how much detail we would do that would
6978s make The Vindicator much more
6979s customizable than the other classes and
6982s it simply isn't really that fair in a
6985s lot of cases that would mean there would
6986s be
6987s vastly more Vindicator build
6990s opportunities than any other classes and
6993s that's not really something that we want
6994s to promote it's not something that we
6996s really want to go in a direction for so
6998s that probably makes a lot of sense now
7000s and you know all of that being said
7001s something could change along the way we
7003s could find ways that you could customize
7005s each of the different classes in a
7007s certain degree and then the vindicator's
7008s way to customize would be through like
7010s the the drones weapons there's a dream
7013s there
7014s but keep the possibility of that is like
7016s this big okay so you know I'm not saying
7019s it's off the table I'm not saying that
7020s it hasn't ever been discussed because it
7022s certainly has but we also want that
7023s consistency across the board for player
7026s agency to have equal opportunity
7028s wherever they're going

7097s development and Seth capitalized on it
