350s we're going to start things off with a
352s little bit of explanation of what the
354s heck is everspace 2. it's gonna help for
356s onboarding because we're probably going
357s to see a little bit more numbers today
358s you know probably so if you haven't

363s curious about the game now is the time
364s to go pull them over say hey I know
366s you're at work pull up the stream okay
367s because we're going to go over just a
369s brief sort of explanation is what
371s everspace 2 is with a little bit of
373s examples of our foundational elements
376s then we're gonna get into the fun stuff
378s that a lot of our veterans are have been
381s waiting for and that's going to be
382s cracking into some of the new contents
383s that's getting added for 1.0
386s specifically we're going to be doing a
388s rift with a new legendary you have not
390s seen before
393s then we're going to be doing some Recaps
395s of how things have been going these last
397s couple of weeks including talking about
399s GDC and PAX East which will then move
403s directly into a specialized segment
405s today called said and done and what this
408s is going to cover is what we have said
410s through development
411s versus what we are actually doing
415s for this 1.0 launch this is going to
417s provide a lot of clarity uh some of you
420s may be happy some of you may be sad but
422s it's important that as a transparent
424s development team you gotta be in the
427s know and I've said some things that are
429s no longer going to happen so of other
431s team members and it's time that you guys
433s understand what that looks like so we'll
435s have that segment and last but not least
438s we'll probably rope back in some more
440s showcasing of probably another legendary
442s and uh contents and all that fun stuff
445s so without further ado
448s let's talk about what this whole thing
451s is called everspace 2. we're going to
453s start off by doing a completely new game
456s look at this oh my gosh beautiful
460s ever space two
462s this is a single player
466s looter shooter
468s in a pseudo open world
471s that utilizes RPG elements
474s moving a 30 to 40 hour campaign forward
479s all right what we're going to do here is
482s we're going to start with uh you know
484s normal difficulty you'll have five
486s different difficulties to choose from
489s and this is going to bring you right up
491s into the tutorialize segment where I
493s will continue speaking on some of the
495s basics here then I'm going to jump over
497s to a save and show you a little bit more
498s of those core foundational elements
501s all the sounds

505s so let this be a quick introduction to
507s the game
509s world and also welcome to everybody
511s sneaking into our stream right now
513s we are incredibly excited for the 1.0

554s out of the gate we're gonna pause

563s for those who are completely new to this

568s Rockfish games are aiming for we want to

578s single sound that you bring into there
582s all right all of it we want that to come
584s home so even our cut scenes we want to
587s make sure that everything is solidified

591s you're some sort of wingman let's get a
594s little bit more of a taste for this

612s what's going on with it no problem I can

624s say how's your ship holding up just the
626s usual wear and tear don't tell me you
629s want to run another Mobility check can't
631s risk you breaking down in the middle of
632s a fight can I all right knock yourself

640s everspace 2 utilizes a movement system
643s again to
644s a lot of Shooters actually your wasd
648s movement is going to be your character
650s like if you're in a shooter you're
651s moving on the ground forward backwards
653s left and right okay
655s and there what about your hover thrusts
658s and also similar to a shooter whenever
660s you jump
665s whenever you jump you generally push the
667s space bar that's your hover up and
669s generally when you're crouching you use
670s the control button rolls
674s and this is something completely
675s completely unique to everspace 2 and
678s that is because it's a six degrees of
679s freedom game so instead of just being on
682s a very specific plane in a traditional
685s shooter you can Orient yourself in
688s unique ways through roller
690s too so there's a lot of space finally
694s strafe with a boost to the right
698s and sometimes you also have to have your
700s Dodge role in your Mobility systems and
703s that's exactly what we're providing here
704s with your Boost and you can boost in any
707s direction in this case we're going to
709s the right
711s as Slinky rocket
715s yeah you're in good enough shape for the
718s junk pile you're floating try telling
720s that to Callahan I bet 10 credits that
723s if we don't catch up he'll threaten to
724s remove this ship from our tally nah he's
727s a jerk but not that bad I'll take that
729s bed let's not keep him waiting then
732s excellent so there's gonna be more
735s dialogue that happens here in some
736s banter between the characters but as you
738s can see from a Mobility standpoint alone
741s we have taken a great amount of effort
744s to ensure this feels good this feels
748s clean to make it intuitive to make it
751s fluid so even if you're coming from
753s something not even remotely close to a
755s space game say a shooter we are a looter
758s shooter you should feel right at home
761s when you sit down and Frankly Speaking
763s from our feedback at our conventions
764s last week showed this
766s so what I'm going to do now you're
768s getting a little bit of a taste between
769s these characters banter you know all
771s that type of stuff we're not going to
772s roll through the tutorial no no no no I
774s want to get into the meaty greedy
776s elements you know why did I call it a
777s pseudo open world why am I saying RPG
780s elements what about this looter shooter
783s means anything to me you know so let's
786s do that
786s and we're gonna actually go back to our
789s 2023 uh stream save that we had uh weeks
792s ago
793s to do that
795s also wanted to show you some wording
798s that we've updated for any time you are
801s pulling from old save data
804s you can pause it read it we're going to
806s talk about this later so I'm going to
808s keep going
813s so the first big aspect of everspace 2
816s is we call this thing a looter shooter
820s all right so let's just look at her
822s inventory which is kind of a mess
824s and that's okay when we are flying about
827s doing our thing we have a number of
831s items we'll be equipping along the way
833s be them Primary Weapons secondaries and
837s various modules on board your ship
841s these modules and weapons can have
844s varying modifiers on them that can shape
847s and change a particular playstyle that
849s you are going in these items being
851s dropped are from
853s containers that you find secrets you
855s discover enemy ships it's loot that you
859s shoot and it drops for you when you pick
861s it up you equip it there's different
864s very uh different types of tiers so like
867s this is an uncommon we have this one's a
869s rare we also have your standard common
871s items all of these things and the
874s numbers you see are the levels as that
876s form of progression moving you forward
878s going into those RPG elements that we
881s were speaking on
883s as you level up you will be earning new
886s perks that you can use that give you a
888s strong passive benefit towards a
890s particular play style you'll also be
892s meeting characters along the way that
894s can also Grant you particular Boons
896s should you invest in them
899s don't worry we're almost done with the
901s brief introduction forever space 2.
906s next I wanted to talk about the pseudo
909s open world
911s a lot of people are curious like how
913s open world is it yes so let's just go
914s ahead and scroll back we've got
916s seven locations here that you can see
920s each one of these locations has multiple
923s hand crafted locations for you to
927s venture towards all of these here you
928s see check marks those are locations we
930s could actually go back to
932s all of these locations handcrafted the
934s properly designed levels that you are to
937s explore they are not procedurally
939s generated so if you see some random
941s pretty looking Tower in the distance
942s that doesn't mean there's nothing there
945s it's just something eye-catching to look
946s at no it actually means we put it there
948s for a reason you should probably take
950s that as a cue yeah all these locations
953s hand crafted we have over a hundred
957s handcrafted locations across these seven
961s solar systems kind of ridiculous
965s when you leave one location and you go
967s to another you enter enter a super light
969s travel okay so you're loading out a
973s location instance going into a separate
975s field where you can navigate around the
978s solar system and then when you go to
981s another location you load it in this is
984s not seamless
985s and that brings us to the point of it
987s being pseudo-open world for perfect
989s clarity here okay all of these locations
992s are within this entire space there's a
996s lot to explore there's a lot to find
997s secrets of there's a lot to do in every
1001s single one of these spaces you are
1003s loading out instances and loading back
1005s in not perfectly seamless for those
1008s desirable uh open world junkies out
1011s there pseudo open world because it's
1013s still very expansive
1015s you're going from instances to new
1018s instances cool last but not least just a
1022s little bit more clarity on that RPG you
1025s are the ship
1027s you are playing as a vessel with the
1032s story revolving around you pertaining to
1033s Adam a clone who is trying to make his
1037s way in the universe
1039s and as you are progressing through your
1041s ship class can be changed purchasing
1044s another vessel you can customize the
1047s Aesthetics quite significantly which we
1049s will actually show a little bit more
1051s later
1052s and there are a number of varying tools
1055s to be unlocked and utilized through a
1058s progressive system of experience gains
1061s and attribute modifications
1064s there are plenty of characters to meet
1066s along the way and side missions to do so
1069s you can expand your knowledge of the
1071s world lore and also your understanding
1074s of the journey that you are on
1077s all right
1079s I hope that this has been a wonderful
1081s segment to onboard anybody who's not
1083s familiar with Aerospace 2
1086s that's the core of it
1088s so now
1090s let's get into some new stuff yeah
1092s let's get into some new stuff
1096s here we go
1098s so you guys know that there's new
1100s legendaries gonna be dropping for 1.0
1102s and for those of you who don't know
1104s anything at all about the late game you
1106s can get Legendaries all right cool
1108s because you know you have to our
1109s legendaries are not designed in a way
1111s where you just grab them all and you're
1113s always perfect and and you just like
1115s have an entire set of Legends like every
1118s single thing you outfit is legendary no
1119s no our legendaries create unique
1122s instances that you can capitalize on and
1125s so you have to be careful about which
1127s legendaries you end up choosing and the
1129s current game State and what will be
1132s finalized for 1.0
1135s you will be able to use one legendary on
1138s tier 3 ships
1140s and you'll be able to use two
1141s legendaries on tier four ships
1145s I think there's a punk trying to fight
1147s me so let me show you uh one of the
1149s things that I've got might not actually
1151s help me in this particular instance
1153s because that's a Teleport drone
1155s but I can dodge those missiles really
1157s well
1174s excellent
1176s so the legendary we have allows us to
1180s very quickly boost
1182s and varying directions of our choosing
1188s this legendary is called terminal
1190s velocity
1192s it's insanely effective for any ship
1196s class yes I'm using a light ship right
1198s now and light ships are easily easily
1202s the most maneuverable I just really
1204s enjoy the added maneuverability what
1206s this thing does is it allows you to
1208s build up LinkedIn thrust
1210s after a short time when you want to use
1213s that you point in the direction you want
1214s to use it press boost and whoop you move
1219s in that direction that's simple
1221s that's simple
1224s and dang I wish this was oh gosh
1229s I wish I could make this the first
1230s legendary that drops because I have been
1232s enjoying the heck out of it
1235s this is a backer submission by the way
1237s you can probably read it down there but
1239s if you can't it's from Palma theater
1242s that is the backer who supplied terminal
1245s velocity
1247s so thank you for the suggestion I think
1248s it fits rather delightfully
1252s excellent so now let's go ahead and use
1254s this bad boy in our beautifully designed
1257s ship with new Thruster colors that you
1260s will have access to at full release as
1262s well
1263s by diving into a
1267s um a rift
1268s so the Rifts have been updated a little
1271s bit
1271s a little bit we got some new elements to
1274s talk about and to show
1276s nothing crazy you're still gonna feel a
1279s bit at home if you've been playing Early
1280s Access but I am going to tone things
1283s down to make sure uh it's not an
1285s embarrassing stream so there's a good
1287s chance we'll have a legendary drop here
1289s uh and there's also a good chance that
1292s uh I won't die and that's the goal
1295s so here whenever you're adjusting the
1297s lunacy of course it changes the loot
1299s quality it changes the enemy damage it
1301s changes enemy hit points
1303s there are tiers of the mad that could be
1305s spent those are obtained by doing riffs
1307s and then this tells you the legendary
1309s equipment uh drop rates we did not want
1312s to provide a percentage chance because
1313s that can sometimes be misleading so
1316s instead we're just keeping it like that
1317s that's it that's lit the higher the
1319s lunacy it goes the crazier things can
1322s get but you'll notice there is a
1324s guaranteed chance from lunacy 500 and
1327s higher
1328s but we are going to go with a good
1330s chance at 200. so
1333s here we go
1334s let's see a little bit about how riffs
1337s have changed
1345s I will also provide a little Clarity of
1347s this ship build
1350s so you guys can know my particular play
1352s style here
1355s effectively this is more in line with a
1359s Precision build I don't have a
1361s tremendous amount of precision but I'm
1362s fairly happy with it in some cases maybe
1364s I should uh you know let's
1368s that's enough we'll do just a little
1369s more Precision here
1371s but the idea behind this build using
1373s these perks we have I'm going to be
1376s boosting a lot so we have exit strategy
1378s we have play it safe because we have two
1380s devices that are Warfare to give us some
1383s reactive armor uh should things go south
1385s and they probably will we have crit
1387s happens which creates explosions around
1389s Critical Hits we have critical faculty
1392s which creates uh which has Critical Hits
1394s uh building up our alt energy
1397s we have exploitation which has 50
1400s increased critical hit chance when
1401s attacking enemies whose movement is
1403s impaired and we have an auto firing
1404s Weber missile
1406s and last but not least we are using
1408s Symphony of Destruction a level 30 perk
1410s destroying an enemy with a critical hit
1413s causes their energy core to discharge
1415s and deal damage equivalent to 60 and 80
1417s of their maximum hole in a large radius
1422s so we want crits we want lots and lots
1425s of crits it's also why I'm happening to
1428s be using a Goss Cannon
1431s oh yes
1432s oh yes so
1435s let's see how we do
1436s here we go
1439s oh not a Teleport drone oh my gosh right
1443s out of the gates these little boogers
1445s are tricky
1448s awesome
1450s Tormentor
1452s great awesome now
1455s we also like to really get up in The
1457s Fray here
1458s it's kind of a it's kind of
1461s bad for me to do
1466s but uh sometimes it can be incredibly
1468s beneficial depending on set build
1471s I'm going to kind of kind of roll with
1473s it as much as I can
1475s and you can also see I'm using my I'm
1477s using my legendary ability to move
1479s quickly a lot I do not want to be caught
1483s off guard here
1486s because that would just be basically the
1489s worst thing ever
1496s we're also going to go ahead and use our
1498s Alt
1500s for one I generally forget to use it you
1502s guys know better
1505s and it will charge up fairly well
1507s through the duration of
1511s the rip
1517s things are coming together very well
1520s here honestly
1525s oh yeah
1527s so so much beautiful alt here
1530s feeling really good
1534s all right
1536s oh we got a Corvette look at that
1542s let's make that the focal point
1551s oh that beautiful explosion
1554s oh that was great just desecrating
1557s everything nearby
1561s crits are feeling good uh oh there's
1563s some missiles coming out

1575s at an Ever increasingly dangerous

1582s oh no this is an EMP we're gonna use
1584s that every time an enemies destroyed all
1586s enemies president are repaired by 20 of
1588s maximum volume points oh man so the
1590s reason why this sucks

1799s but are we trying to make a lot of
1800s options a heck ton of fun yes

1808s we've cleared out the second Rift
1814s 50 increased movement speed oh gosh
1816s enemies slowly repair their whole ah
1818s that means drop mines when destroyed
1823s that's gonna be a challenge
1825s because when we choose this
1828s Rift will also retain the mutator that
1832s we just dealt with so that repair on
1834s kill is going to stack with whatever we
1837s choose
1839s I'm gonna try and do mines this might be
1842s my demise
1846s let's see how things go
1853s so if you look in the upper left you
1855s will see the mutator is going to stack
1858s you'll see repair as well as mines on
1861s Deck
1865s so it's not just a matter of different
1867s types of enemies that can now join the
1869s prey and more Elites and later Parts in
1872s the rift
1876s now we're probably gonna have to deal
1879s with some uncomfortable realities
1883s of how all of these elements come
1885s together oh that explosion was huge

1993s segment about the customization because
1995s we've been flying in a tier four ship
1998s this is a tier four
2000s so tier four does it look like a tier

2003s I don't know I don't think it actually
2005s looks like a tier four let's change that
2007s let's change that so we're gonna go into
2009s our custom Style
2011s and we are going to go to the ship
2013s modules and you'll see oh I'm actually
2016s using tier 3 wings
2019s huh well that's interesting
2023s yes because whenever you are a higher
2025s tier
2027s you can use any tier where you're at in
2030s lower for your visual representation
2033s this is what the ship looked like when I
2036s purchased it
2038s this is our tier 4 Mercury wings
2041s for the Vanguard class
2046s and you can see if we you know
2050s don't want that we can easily go back
2052s through all the previous tiers
2056s of the show all of them
2059s provided you've unlocked

2121s to change over to this as well in our

2124s you know uh it's maybe something a
2126s little shorter yeah I like this one this
2128s is nice in addition you can also see
2131s that we have some added adjustments
2134s towards the usual which is that we now
2136s have window tints and engine colors
2139s in addition to the standard paint job
2141s and emissive lights and decals
2144s all of that is here
2146s I could even show you all of the colors
2148s oh my gosh do I tease it do I tease it
2150s oh there's all the gosh oh my goodness

2157s a lot of options
2159s a lot of options I can guarantee you
2162s and there's a lot of flexibility in how
2164s you can go about this

2169s so that you can really truly make your
2172s craft look the way it feels because it
2176s should feel badass right
2180s there's a lot to this so that is how
2182s this ship modules and those tiers work
2184s one more time just for anybody who maybe
2186s missed it so long as you have a tier
2190s that is equal to

2193s the wing type you desire you can change
2197s your aesthetic to that okay

2206s but you can make a tier three look like

2436s not lying it was insane guys it was

2445s booth and from about 10 and onward we
2448s had a line it almost was always roughly
2451s around 10 to 12 people I would say

2458s can see a nice viewport of our title as
2461s well coming down the stairs entering
2463s into packs great spot oh my gosh we were
2467s so fortunate
2468s it was so fortunate every single one of
2471s the people that you see here um I spoke
2473s to uh personally and they just loved
2475s everspace two every single one and my
2477s goodness it's just wild wild how much uh
2481s love and
2483s praise we got at this convention and
2487s yeah here you can see these are running
2488s on some 30 70 Alienware computers that
2493s not only were just absolute beasts but
2496s they look like beasts too

2499s it's wild guys absolutely Wild

2505s chair that's way too small for me
2506s otherwise known as known as a normal
2508s person-sized chair explaining to I think
2511s it was a I can't remember who this is oh

2523s many incredible discussions with you all
2525s seriously it was a it truly was a blast

2590s introduced to everspace 2 during this
2592s convention that number's probably closer
2594s to thirteen hundred what

2609s through all of this development pushing
2611s through Early Access garnering your
2613s support and your suggestions and

2626s things that um we've set
2629s through the course of this development

2644s community saying yeah we should probably
2646s get that out in the open so people know

2658s go into our said and done segment first

2703s happen with a little bit of clarity
2704s we're going to wrap fire this all right
2706s you ready so first up we have releasing
2709s on Xbox one and PlayStation 4. this is
2711s no longer the case now
2714s we are going to be releasing on Xbox
2717s series s and x and Playstation 5.
2721s there's a lot of reasons why we chose to
2722s do this the short answer is because it
2724s works much better for our development
2726s and it's also just frankly more awesome

2734s nine ships with four Wing types each we
2738s even showed screenshots a lot of
2740s preliminary elements of this nature you
2743s know we were incredibly proud to you
2745s know promote this because that's a lot
2747s of ships the reality guys is that that
2750s is a lot of ships it's a lot of work
2752s we've had a lot of core elements that
2753s we've got to tackle
2755s so we do still have nine ships but not
2758s all Wing types will be present at launch

2762s this doesn't mean they have dropped off
2764s the end of the world and you're never
2765s going to see them what it means is we
2768s needed to focus on these core Rich
2769s foundational elements of the game and
2771s ensure that those reached fruition we
2774s haven't forgotten about these in fact
2776s we'll probably see them
2778s inevitably
2779s they're just not going to be there at
2780s launch okay

2785s ship customization had cockpit
2787s modifications in the Prototype and when
2790s I'm speaking on the Prototype not the
2791s one that you actively played I'm talking
2793s about the preliminary
2795s pre-alpha where we had vlogs
2799s showcasing the internal structure that
2801s you could change this was something we
2804s truly wanted to do and that's why we
2806s showcased it
2807s but turns out
2809s it wasn't our best move forward so you
2811s know we did instead
2813s you can change the cockpit glass
2815s and the engine Trail colors why do we go
2818s this route short answer of this it's
2820s because the vast majority of our player
2822s base is playing in third person so these
2824s are actually going to stand out and it
2826s helps truly match everything together
2828s quite a lot better
2830s will cockpit customization internally
2833s come into play in the future I wouldn't
2835s expect it
2836s it's not something that we want to move
2838s forward with now and we are very pleased
2841s with the results of moving in this
2842s direction instead for your customization

2864s these were all very much in the plans

2877s forward with the legendaries you sought
2878s yourself a highlighted one of them I'm
2880s going to show probably another one a
2881s little bit later in the Stream but no
2883s new sets and catalysts are going to
2884s appear at 1.0 I'm providing this Clarity
2887s so that you guys understand why and the
2890s short answer is that Focus
2892s we needed this story to get the
2895s attention it deserved
2897s we needed to ensure that the locations
2900s were properly and thoroughly designed we
2903s needed to make sure that everything
2904s revolving around our static level
2906s scaling and the progression thereof
2908s through these environments was healthily
2911s balanced that's not something that you
2913s can just do over a weekend all right
2916s sets and catalysts require a lot of time
2920s and attention for
2922s these are still things that we would
2924s like to do
2925s but they are not going to be present at
2927s 1.0

2932s we have shifted our direction to ensure
2934s a finalized game experience
2939s more can happen in the future
2942s but for those of you who were expecting
2944s new sets and callous because I said

2957s multi differences will go beyond
2959s statistical adjustments I have said this
2961s a number of times actually and even said
2963s yeah we want to have some variety of how
2965s the the units are operating from you
2968s know uh based on like easy to hard and
2970s the short answer guys the short answer
2972s is this
2974s and fine-tuning our balance and going
2976s through and cleaning all of these
2977s elements up turns out the best Direction
2980s forward for the difficulty system is not
2982s to actually change that much
2985s so the vast majority of these
2987s difficulties is more on the stat based
2990s side of things and this is due to having
2993s that rather expansive balance overhaul
2996s and we are very pleased with the results
2999s they're up there are still going to be
3001s little details differences if you're
3004s playing on very easy versus very hard
3005s you'll see that
3007s with timers for example so if you are
3011s incredibly skilled with your speed and
3013s you choose very hard you were going to
3015s find a couple of challenges along your
3017s way
3019s there are other subtle little details
3021s but again most of these are stat based
3023s providing that Clarity so you understand
3027s but man are we happy with how the
3029s balance changes have improved the vast
3031s majority of the game so good good stuff

3135s that convinced us especially in those
3138s delightful screenshots that you were
3139s taking not having a body uh was weird

3179s save wipe up full release we've talked
3181s about this so much it's annoying so much
3184s is annoying I even gave these vast
3185s presentations as to why it was gonna
3187s happen and it was going to be what's
3188s best for the community and then we
3190s turned around and Andy's like oh yeah I
3192s know I can actually I could probably
3193s make it work
3194s I can I can probably make it work and
3196s it's going to
3197s we do so if you want to use an old save
3200s you already saw the disclaimer earlier
3201s in the Stream if you want to use an old
3204s tape great you can do that just keep in
3206s mind that disclaimer shows up for a
3208s reason okay
3210s when we are balancing refining and
3213s tuning the rest of the game out from
3215s here which is no longer going to be an
3217s early access standpoint guys right no
3220s longer going to be on state these old
3221s saves could carry over some wonky
3223s information that is not meant to exist
3225s and furthermore those saves can
3228s absolutely be Beyond certain parts of
3231s the game that have been modified
3232s adjusted or improved that you'll simply
3235s miss out on so please if you use an old
3239s safe do so carefully and understand that
3243s we still very much strongly encourage

3261s I'll just saying we said and we've set
3263s for a long time that we were going to do
3266s Native Linux support at 1.0
3269s it's gonna happen we're gonna make it

3272s to bring this to fruition
3274s guys that's not gonna happen
3276s it's not gonna happen I wanna I wanna
3278s put a lot of clarity into this okay
3280s we put forth a ton of effort to do this
3286s and it turns out
3288s there are some problems with the engine
3290s that simply can't
3292s allow such support not without an insane
3296s amount of work that would effectively
3300s extend development by months if not even
3303s a year if not require an entire
3306s reworking
3308s we're not going to do that
3310s so it's not going to support native
3312s Linux we are sorry for our Linux
3314s audience because we have said this to
3316s the majority of development however
3319s we are also very pleased about the
3322s proton side when you're running via
3324s proton Linux still operates quite
3327s fantastically we've had a tremendous
3329s number of users who have been using
3331s Linux utilizing proton that is the
3334s direction we are going to move into and
3336s support
3337s and we'll have a little bit more details
3340s on that front in order to bring it to
3343s the best place possible for you guys
3345s using proton at release if not a little
3348s after all right
3350s um I didn't write it here but for anyone
3352s who's also wondering about like Mac OS
3354s and steam deck none of that stuff has
3356s changed so none of that needs to be here
3358s uh if you are hoping for Mac OS and
3360s steam duck we're totally fully
3361s supporting that stuff okay it's still
3363s coming still coming all right next up
3367s we had an incredibly unfortunate element
3370s happen when we were trying to allow you
3372s to name your saves and I know this one
3374s was something a lot of you truly wanted
3376s to do as well and I've been doing it in
3378s the Stream because I have Dev commands
3379s and all that stuff
3381s um but yeah honestly uh it's unfortunate
3384s but just kidding you can actually save
3387s your game names now uh at least on PC
3389s you will be able to use that there's
3391s going to be restricted characters all
3393s right and there's probably going to be a
3394s little bit of issues uh depending on
3397s which localization you have but we are
3399s opening the doors for this we've spent a
3401s bit of work and yeah we changed our
3404s minds we think that saving manuals
3406s manual saves or naming manual saves is
3408s actually integral to this process gonna
3410s provide a lot of clarity especially like
3412s if you're exploring and uh trying out
3415s some new stuff and that's the direction
3417s we're we're going so yeah you will
3419s absolutely be able to name your saves at
3422s 1.0 if you have the PC version of
3427s everspace 2

3431s wonderful last but not least last but
3434s not least
3435s the Leviathan creature to be added in
3437s free content update we've talked about
3439s this one we said it in the live streams
3441s we're really proud about how development
3444s was moving along on this front and we
3447s were super excited to bring you into the
3449s fold of this concept art Leviathan right
3453s something that was just concept art we
3456s spoke on how much we desired it to be
3458s there and then we said it's gonna happen
3460s it's gonna be in this free content
3461s update now hold on I know some of you
3463s are getting a little antsy let's talk
3464s about this all right let's talk about
3466s this little context is incredibly
3467s important here the lot the Leviathan has
3470s been changed the Leviathan has been
3473s changed originally it was just going to
3474s be like a single site to behold
3476s immensely and we decided that's not
3479s enough
3480s that is not at the quality standard that
3482s we truly want here at Rockfish games
3485s nah so
3487s we're gonna pour more heart and soul
3489s into this
3490s we're gonna flesh this out and we're
3492s gonna create a story element surrounding
3493s it all right it's gonna be a lot of
3496s added work there's no way we can just
3498s push this out there just some
3501s willy-nilly little expansion now this is
3503s going to be included in the paid DLC out
3506s in the mid to late 2024 and I think that
3509s you guys are going to enjoy the weight

3513s it really needs a lot of work to bring
3517s this all together and from what I've
3519s seen thus far it is quite desirable over
3522s to what we were previously going to do

3701s were querying our risk's going to be the
3703s only place that legendaries are going to

3717s I don't uh embarrassingly die so what
3719s we're looking at now is another backer
3721s legendary item this one comes from 10

3725s it is called cassiel's protection
3728s kind of a beast of a shield you can see
3730s how much more it is adding towards us
3732s but upon depletion this will create two
3736s autonomous holographic copies of your
3739s ship that will distract enemies and
3741s persist until the shield is back up
3743s again so let's go ahead and slap that on
3746s because we are flying a tier 4 ship and
3748s can have two legendaries at once
3753s so as you can see we're doing kind of a
3755s safety net build
3757s doing kind of safe in that build but I'm
3758s gonna hover over this one more second so

6946s picking up a controller or slapping your
6948s hands down on a mouse and keyboard that
