I know right?? Iโ€™m so sick of looking at their Twitter page and their most recent tweet is just the word โ€˜hiโ€™ like wtf? I thought it was a professionally run account?

I've been tweeting like that for over a year lol. We'll share more about 4.5 on the run up to it. There's no point hyping people up too far away.

The countdown is just meant as a really rough guide so you know the minimum amount of time you have left to complete the game path, and we've pushed it back on every season. I do hope the designers will find a clearer way to display that the date isn't meant to be accurate for the next season starting, as we have similar feedback every time.

You shouldn't be giving us a rough countdown though. Other BRs are pretty set on the dates of their upcoming seasons and communicate better. It's unprofessional. I hope being owned by Epic now causes this to change starting next season.

Unfortunately, we're not at a point where we can lockdown the release date of the next season when we release the current season. I hope we get there one day, but we're not there yet. We either give a rough date, or we give no date at all. We suggested that before but the feedback was that players would rather have some indication, even if it's not accurate.

Very well said. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

That would definitely be a better option.

So now this gets more confusing: you said in that thread (of 4 months ago) the team would remove the timer for the next season (Season 3).

But actually that never happened, and not for Season 4 as well. Can we know why, please??

Yes, as mentioned in that thread, I said they'd remove it because that was where the conversation was at... then... as you can see in the thread... everyone said they didn't want that, and as we discussed it more - it was decided that the better option was not to remove it, but add 'approx' to it

I've fed this new feedback to the team again though and asked if we can revisit it

Perhaps you could list a range of time as the estimate instead? 60-90 days for instance? It doesn't bother me too much honestly but it kind of reflects poorly on you when it's this late into the season and we don't have much of an idea of what to expect within the next 3 weeks.

Honestly, it's just so much better not to announce things until they're 100% locked down. Even if you give a vague idea, it causes a lot of negativity if it has to move.

In your example, if we put 60-90 days, there would be loads of backlash if it then took over 90 days.

We've learnt not to give windows for things unless you're 100% confident you can hit the window. Even when we've been 99.9% confident before, things haven't always planned out. I don't just mean on Fall Guys, I mean on every single game I've ever worked on for the last 8 years lol.

It's better we make sure the updates are awesome, and then announce them when we're super-confident, than to announce them and either have to delay, or ship an update that has lots of known issues.
