It has a more restrictive number needed for it to come up than other finals (2-6 people), and we've reduced the frequency, so the compounding effect makes it ultra-more-rare. There are still other finals that could be picked if you have 2-6 people other than Royal Fumble so those are often chosen instead as it has a low likelihood of being rolled.
The reason we've reduced the frequency in general is because there's an exploit in that level which causes issues, and we haven't pushed the fix live yet, but are going to do so with S3 launch.
Then why is fall mountain still having a high appearance rate when the crown bug is present among other issues?
Good question, but a couple of reasons. The FM Crown Grab bug isn't present for many, many players, there are a few issues at play when players see their failed grab depending on what caused it to appear failed. This is quite a clear-cut issue - there's an invisible platform for 100% of players.
That isn't to say that both issues aren't acknowledged and treated as urgent, just why our approach to their removal or lack thereof is different.
I imagine royal fumble has been fixed for a while now. Could I get some insight on why you guys prefer waiting for the season and mid-season patches to push fixes live instead of doing so as soon as possible?
I don't know that myself or the technicalities behind it! I can ask the team though but as it's nearly EOD here it's probably not something I can answer immediately (but I've saved this for if/when I can!)
