Guaranteed they won't say a word or accept any feedback about this, not even a 'whoops'. We're going to have the entire weekend of a broken, random show instead of the most fun one for quite some time.

100% they won't acknowledge the hipocrisy and how they fully contradicted themselves on 2 points:

  • no weekend fixes, as they can't force the employees to work overtime too much (yet it's ok if the bug might reward the player too much?)

  • giving gold medal on hoverboard heroes was justified by the devs as the only fair way due to the randomness (yet it's OK for the crown?)

Yet they're back to some roleplay Bert BS on Twitter like nothing happened. The devs are awfully quiet on comments here, of course, when people would like to see their comment most. But hey, I'm sure they'll be back in a week or so to comment on a fan art.

- We've done weekend fixes before when it's CMS issues and not an actual new build, obviously we try to avoid either of those things

- The gold medal comment was from one of the level designers, the show was designed by one of the live content designers, we're a big enough team now that it's different people looking after different areas

- I can't think of a single thing we've entirely ignored before, I'm not sure why you have that perception

- The show was broken... I didn't tweet about it so that it didn't draw more attention to the bug

- I didn't tweet that it had been fixed either, because people are upset that they didn't get to farm crowns while it was broken

Then maybe get the live content designer to talk to the level designer instead of having them be seperate entities, where the level designer makes something with intent, and the other has the ability to compeltely misunderstand how the game is suppose to be played and break it. I realise you're the community director, but you should be able to pass this feedback to them, no?

I've passed all the feedback along, but there isn't time to address it before the show ends unfortunately. This was the only solution they had time to do.

We do all talk to each other and discuss this stuff but the show was designed months ago and scheduled up. It probably looks like a really quick and easy fix, totally get that, but unfortunately it's a lot more complex than it seems.

Oliver’s lack of understanding of the community, Gaslighting and ignoring the player base is 100% his fault. And it’s very clear looking at Twitter discord and this subreddit my opinions are more in line with a lot of the players. But thanks for trying to defend a billion dollar company who doesn’t care

I don't know what you mean by not understanding the community. I've passed all this feedback along to the devs. It's fairly clear what the majority of people here are thinking, and I've definitely seen, understood, and passed it along. I don't design the shows myself and aren't able to implement changes.

So wait…in one thread you say that it was actually meant to be 1 winner in the final…and now you’re saying that it was only fix you had time to do? Man…when you started out with your tweets last year, I was like, these guys are great. How wrong was I. In the space of a few hours, mediatonic have pissed off the entire community, and you’ve been argumentative, defensive and are now lying one way or the other. Like I said in another comment, glad I platinumed it last night. Fall Guys no longer exists on my PS. I’m pretty sure the same will go for a lot of others too. Nice work.

"in one thread you say that it was actually meant to be 1 winner in the final" - This is true

"now you're saying that it was only fix you had time to do?" - This is also true. The 'fix' was to make it so it was only 1 winner in the final, like it was supposed to be.

I'm glad you enjoyed the tweets previously, and sad to hear you don't anymore.

Awesome to hear you platinumed

Very sad to hear you've uninstalled, hopefully one day you'll give us another chance

You still haven’t responded to anyone asking why you would make it a hoverboard final. You guys have already stated that the flippers (and the ending in general) is all luck. So why is it a final? Why wouldn’t you make it a random final instead. Have you guys not learned from the slimescraper show. Almost everyone wants a random finals instead of playing a round that isn’t meant to be a final as a final

I asked the designers and they said that the intention behind the show was that it would be more competitive and encourage players to get a bit grabby - rather than it be passive and come down to luck at the end.

Obviously, it sounds like it's not panned out that way, and people aren't enjoying that. I promise I've passed the feedback along though, and I'm sure they'll address it if the show returns in the future.

They see the limited-time shows as a chance to try out new things and experiment more. They're only there for a little while so if people don't like them, it's okay because they get replaced and they can be changed the next time they return.

Look I've seen you around engaging with people, answering questions as best as you can and overall trying to make the community feel like they've been heard which I actually appreciate, but.. On more than one occasion it feels like it falls on deaf ears, like on this instance.

The points you make above don't answer the questions people are asking, at the moment the best one I've got is the fact that this show's final was something planned months ago.. But that also raises more questions.

I get that you don't design the levels, but answers like "people are upset that they didn't get to farm crowns while it was broken" show us that you're not actually getting what's going on, what's actually making people mad, and that you're just trying to gaslight your fans.

Sorry that was meant to be in reference to why I didn't tweet about the bug - and then didn't tweet about the fix. Tweeting about it would amplify the problem beyond the relatively smaller core audience on Reddit + Discord.

I often see people say that I should tweet more about bugs and what we're working on - I fully get that opinion - but from a marketing perspective, it's just not that great to keep tweeting about issues - especially when they take a while to fix and the only update is 'we are still working on it'. We post update threads on this Reddit when there's news and keep a public issues trello updated when things change for fans who want to follow that - but the Twitter is meant to be more focused on the game content and more appealing to a wider range of people.

With this final, I fully get that people dislike that in the end it comes down to luck because your progression through the "race" is limited by the hoverboard itself. I understand why people are saying they would rather have a random final.
