Alright, this is getting ridiculous now. I don't know at what point this sub changed for the worse, but it definitely did. The overwhelming majority of feedback here is negative, all you people want to do is whine and be angry at mediatonic over increasingly bullsh*t reasons.

Anyone that has the audacity to dare to oppose the angry Reddit hive mind gets called a boot licker or a shill for mediatonic, and told to look at things more clearly, but it's YOU folks that are seeing things all wrong. I don't know how you could possibly see mediatonic as poorly as you do, but I'd love to see it, because to YOU, they're worse than EA and that's one hell of an accomplishment.

I'm so sick and tired of every thread about game news being bombarded by no life assholes who think they know how to run a company better than a multi million dollar games company, when they have zero experience. I cringe every time you suggest people be fired for what goes on in this company. I don't think y'all remember that those people you're bashing, telling to be fired, insulting, are real human beings with lives and feelings, not some bots you can abuse.

Is mediatonic perfect? No, not even close. There are a litany of really bad bugs and exploits that they take forever to fix. And their communication leaves a lot to be desired. But they're far from evil, or uncaring, or out to get you. They don't constantly lie (no matter what you all claim), they genuinely seem to care about the community, they've added multiple things we've suggested, they're constantly working on improving, and if any of you ever took the time to watch the weekly streams and get to know them, they're incredibly genuine people who just want to deliver the best game they can with what they have.

I know this won't change most people's minds who have already decided what they think of mediatonic. They're too far gone. But there's been no counterpoint to the constant negativity on this sub, and that needs to f*cking change. Despite what you might think, Reddit is not the majority opinion, and even among this sub, I guarantee there are far more happy folks keeping their mouths shut, than angry ones.

Oliver, bee, Joe, if any of you see this post, I just want to thank you for the work y'all put in daily, and for doing what you can, and tell you that I can promise you, the majority of people who play this game do not hate you. Thanks for all your hard work, and for owning up to when you make mistakes. It's great to see something like that nowadays.

I'm so excited for what season 3 will bring, and I can't wait to see where this game goes next on it's journey. It hasn't been easy, and there have been many ups and downs, but this game really is something special, and I'm so glad to be here playing it.

Sincerely, Jayde, a concerned sub user who's tired of the negativity.

Hey! Thank you for your support Jayde first of all, I appreciate it.

Admittedly, it is hard to wade through a lot of negativity - but something that we expect our side is the accountability from our community and it's important for us not to take things personally even if they are sometimes worded that way. Do I ever think that should devolve into "Get fired" comments or general awfulness? Never! Boo. It's not productive discussion. But is it good to hold us accountable? Sure absolutely. Just ya know - with balance.

There's a good side to this too. The vocal nature of the sub means that it's easy for us to track progress - and sentiment of course. It helps us articulate urgency and prevalence of some issues, too.

I promise I'm doing what I can to work on this and of course, would love to be able to fix everything overnight and show great progress - but in the absence of that, hopefully more proactive communication from me will help.

But yes, I sincerely care about the members of this sub, and the wider community, a heck of a lot. I was a community member before I was a community manager, and appreciate the sentiment of this post. But remember discussions always have sides and that's good, and not everyone asking us to work on stuff is also asking us to like die in a hole at the same time haha :)

Thanks for taking the time to reply, I was not expecting it, and I appreciate all the work you guys do.

I do think that something that could perhaps really help for next season would be like, a weekly thread kind of like the ones that the sub does already, but where you guys could let us know what you're working on, just so we have that vital communication. I feel like, as folks have said, a lot of the reason for the animosity lately is that there's been so much silence from yall as a company as to what's being worked on. I mean even the Trello issue thing barely seems to be updated anymore. That was a great step towards more open communication, and I hope you guys continue down that road. It's the vaccum of content from you guys recently that has caused theories such as the season being delayed to crop up.

Again, thank you for doing what you do, and I have faith that in time the communication will improve, but I do feel like some kind of consistent, weekly update thread would go a long way to improving Mediatonic's image on here.

I think this is something I'll look to do! I am able to sticky posts here, and will likely run it that way. Thanks for the feedback as well, and yeah I do think improved communication will go a long way!
