Some background for this first, I was a freshman in college last year and I didn’t really have any friends for the first few months and was feeling really depressed. There were plenty of clubs at my school and I tried a couple of them but I just never really seemed to click with anyone or really enjoy the activities in the club. One day towards the end of the first semester I got the campus newsletter email which I usually don’t read much of but I took a look at noticed that they were starting a fall guys club. I wouldn’t have called myself the biggest fall guys fan in the world but I definitely would play it here and there so I figured why not give it a shot. I sent an email to the president of the club, Joe, and asked him some questions about it. He said it would just be a few TVs and monitors with PS4s hooked up where people can play squads together or just learn from others about how to improve.

I’m somewhat decent at the game and didn’t have much else going on so I went to the first meeting and there was more people than I expected to see. Not a huge amount but all the PS4s were being used. Joe greeted me when I walked in and said I could get next on any of the consoles. I just sat next to someone, we’ll call him Mike, and he introduced himself and so did I. I hadn’t really met anyone on campus but he seemed nice as he was trying to make conversation en route to him easily getting a crown. He then handed me the controller and said he would help improve my game. I started playing and he was just pointing out things I never had noticed before. Like taking certain routes or just different strategies. I didn’t win my first game but Mike was in no rush to play again and told me to go again. Well, the next time I did get that crown and he gave me a high five. I was hyped over a fall guys win. I had always liked getting a win obviously but just being in this environment felt different.

As the meeting went on I started to meet more people who were all fall guys fans and every single one was as friendly as can be.

So this goes on for about a month until the semester is over and I still keep in touch with some of the fall guys club guys. We even made a group chat called “Fall Club Guys” and played over the break. The first meeting in January when I got back was all normal at first. I was at a console by myself since it wasn’t that busy being the first meeting back until a girl sat down next to me and introduced herself saying she just transferred and decided to try out this club because her younger brother and her would play fall guys while she was home.

We really start to hit it off and I ask for her number before we leave which she did. Couple days go by and she text me saying she got her projector in her room working and asked if I wanted to watch a fall guys stream on it. This would become a regular thing and since then we’ve gotten matching fall guys shirts and even have plans to dress up as fall guys beans for Halloween. This relationship that I’m in as well as all my new friends are all thanks to Fall Guys. I don’t know if this post really fits here but I really just wanted to share how fall guys has changed my life for the better.

What a lovely story to start the day with!
It always makes me really happy to read stories of Fall Guys bringing people together like this. The game's not perfect by a long shot and we have lots of stuff we know we need to improve to really do it justice, but knowing it can impact people in this way always makes me incredibly proud of what the team have achieved. Best of luck with your future Crowns and please make sure you share photos of those costumes come Halloween!
