From FG Discord today

This is just the latest example of them making major changes based on the noise coming from a few opinionated people. I'd personally rather play a 18 man Jump Showdown than continuously get 6 and 7 round episodes, too bad they didn't take a vote I guess?

I also love team games, but now they're significantly underrepresented, so sometimes the Main Show can feel like Gauntlet Showdown. We wouldn't have had so many high-player count finals if they hadn't reduced team game frequency btw.

I was fine with the old physics, or at least would like to see it stable between seasons for once so it doesn't feel like I have to re-learn the entire game. They spend time in the cycle of fixing/breaking/fixing certain things in response to the vocal minority, while fundamental flaws go unaddressed.

Squads mode is still broken- it regularly qualifies more teams than it says it will, so people exit out and leave their teammates short-handed. Thin Ice and Hex are much more common to get in Squads than the actual team game finals because of this (can't go to team games with uneven teams). But I haven't seen them address this issue, at least since the last time they "fixed" it.

And the list goes on and on. This is not new, it's been going on since Season 1. It's great to be so respsonsive to your community, but at some point we need stability in this game, because I promise you this season's snafus have drained the will to continue playing from a lot of people. Stand up to the haters and bring stability to Fall Guys (after you fix it)!

Whilst the invisible platform is still present on RF and there are issues for some players grabbing, we don't want it being this high and frequent. The volume of complaints is considerable and it would be much worse for us to ignore that than address it I think.

In terms of being too reactive - I am not sure there is such a thing, because we don't make reactive changes at sacrifice of other changes as your post says. It isn't one team that go and fix something, and come back, and do what they were previously doing. Work goes on in tandem. Most work that is currently going ahead is not tangible to players at the moment but will come into fruition soon.

Being responsive and open to changes and feedback is great and not something we will stop - whether it becomes too frequent, or too infrequent, is something we'll monitor. No change we make will ever make all players happy - there is no such thing unfortunately - and we know that. It's about trying things and seeing what works best, very rarely are changes permanent until we're done experimenting. The game is super young and there will be many more changes in the future.

Of course Royal Fumble needs to be fixed, I didn't say it shouldn't. It's borderline bad with 6 players, let alone more. Weird that you chose to make this the one specific example to point to in your response instead of anything I was actually talking about (7 round main shows, squads broken, constant major changes to game physics, etc).

Of course you want to experiment with new things, the frustration comes when the new things haven't been vetted enough internally and lead to a cascade of oft unintended side effects that then lead to the fix/break/fix cycle that I was talking about.

Thanks for the response, you guys really are the best community team. I just wish the dev team could lay down the law sometimes and say, for instance, "Team games are an essential part of the Main Show and will remain as frequent as they ever were!"

Ah, I should have been specific - I pull on that example because I thought out of the Discord message, that is what stood out most to me, as we're tweaking Main Show regularly which - I suppose is your point here haha!

Understand that the side-effects and the unintentional whiplash would be frustrating across the board, though. We're getting better at that but we still have some room to grow there!

I'll still absolutely pass this feedback on regardless, but for example, longer Main Shows has already been flagged and is something we are going to keep an eye on (what I see most at the moment is 6 rounds which, if it is the majority, is still quite long imo!

Squads we recently adjusted whilst we continue to fix it as (much to our dismay as well) the issue is complicated and needs a lot of testing, and physics changes (specifically climbing, grabbing, and collisions) are constantly being looked at as well, to give some solace. It's just so much more goes into those sorts of fixes and changes than just main show changes :)

You're the best Bee, thanks for taking the time and passing along the feedback. I do understand what you're saying, and am definitely bearing with you. Tell them some of us love team games and want them back!

7 rounders are definitely a thing though. Ask Cimarus if you don't believe me, he got 2 on his stream yesterday!

Thank you for being receptive to a discussion on it, these exchanges always make my day! 7 rounders is a LOT - so I'll add that to our overall chats about main show and we'll continue monitoring that. I hope you have fun playing in the meantime while these things come together!
