If you don't know, the log-in screen for the game has a link to a survey now. I'd like to talk a tiny bit about each of the things in the "Maybe these will happen one day, please rank them" section. Because these things stand to have a big impact on the game and I think they're worth discussing. I wanted to tackle each one individually and maybe get a conversation started.
Please keep in mind these are my own thoughts and obviously there's a lot of different players with a lot of different priorities. I don't claim my opinion to be any better than anyone else's. Okay? Cool.
Level Editor - This is about the community having the toolset to make and share playable content. I personally put this as my top ranking feature. One of the core complaints I see about Fall Guys from people is that there aren't enough new levels in any given season. Giving us the tools to make our own stuff, if the feature is accessible and well made, would fix this. This would probably be a ton of work for Mediatonic but I think outsourcing level development like this could potentially be a huge, huge gain. And I'd love to see what our more imaginative beans come up with. Personally I've always wanted to take a stab at making Fall Guys levels and being able to do it would be a dream come true.
30 v 30 mode - This is described as a 30 v 30 face off and the winners get shards. I'm not really sure what this looks like exactly but it sounds fun to me. And it would give more casual beans somewhere to mob up and their individual shortcomings to perhaps matter less. One of the things (imo) that makes Fall Guys special is the huge number of players in a lobby and a mode that really takes advantage of that sounds cool to me. I just don't want it to all be race rounds.
Play ground / Training room - I'd like a training room. I never take the center path in Lily Leapers because I've never learned it and I don't want to risk elimination by learning it during a show. But give me my own private space to learn it and I will. The playground was described as sort of a space to hang out between shows and honestly I'd love to see a ModNation Racers style hub area. I WANT THIS. It would be especially cool to hang out with other beans and have a place to show off our cool costumes and emotes. The only place I ever get to use my emotes is Block Party because I'm always in a rush to get to where I'm going.
Clubs - This was described as like an in-game guild system. Games need to be careful about stuff like this because strict player number limitations can take the fun out of systems like this. It gets really awkward in, say, TemTem where a club can only have X number of players but your friend group is X+1 and somebody has to be left out. But I do have friends that I tend to play with a lot and having an in-game system to better pal around and join up with them and have team colors or whatever would be cool if done well.
Weekend Leagues - This sounds a lot like Live Events but they're done on the weekend. This is another "cool if done well" feature for me. I don't want Fall Guys to consume my weekends. Heck, I work in tourism and don't even get weekends off. TBH I think simple events like double kudos weekends would be cool. I love Fall Guys but I don't want to feel like I should clear my schedule to play it, you know? Extra reason to log in and have fun = good. Preying on FOMO = bad. There's a careful balance to be struck here with features like this.
Faction Vs Faction - Players join teams and compete on a large scale. I guess like Splatoon used to do the "Pick a side" style stuff. Fun fact, I never once managed to pick the winning team the entire time I played Splatoon and my individual efforts never felt like they mattered. As a community thing this could be kind of neat but I think its very easy to feel distant and ineffective in large scale conflict. I don't know how Fall Guys would solve this. Conceptually this has potential. But I'm wary.
Tournaments for Cosmetics - This would probably be super popular with a small handful of beans. I'm not one of them. I love this game but I know I'm not especially good at it. I'm not the target audience for this. I'm also an older, busy bean so if anything is like "Be there at X o'clock on Y day for a tournament" I can't do that. This will probably be a popular choice and I totally get why. I've never been one for much ranked / tournament play in my games though.
Time Trials - Conceptually, I like time trials for race rounds. The reality is, though, that it opens a can of worms regarding terrain exploits and weirdness. I've been playing in the bi-monthly time trials in the recent Sackboy game and some players are capable of feats that are almost assuredly not intended. This could be cool, depending on how it's structured (since the blurb about it in the survey mentions rewards) but this is another "be careful" situation. Sackboy gives prizes out based on your top % among the playerbase. And let me tell you, those upper ranks are CRAZY. This could be really fun or it could be a super niche thing for a tiny population of beans who love speedrunning. It all depends in how its handled.
Large Parties - This seems like more of a UI thing. This is a nicety but I don't see much actual game play value to be had here. What's the point of being in a group with 12 beans if I can only queue 4 up for squads? Could be cool if that 30v30 mode ever happens though.
Season Leaderboard - Again, UI thing. I personally don't care about comparing myself directly to other players. I know I'm a purely middle-of-the-road bean and I only play casually to knock out my dailies most days. There will be beans that love this and it could be a potential way for the pink sorcerer skin to come back maybe. But compared to other features on this list...meh.
Support A Creator - I can already support creators. I don't see any reason for this. It's also going to push the "Mediatonic only cares about streamers!" meme further along. I understand why you want to have a positive relationship with content creators but as a tiny streamer and casual bean this, to me, would just be a waste of development time for 99.9% of beans.
I submit this post before but botched the title so this is a re-submission. Sorry for the trouble!
