It's a technical reason. Achievements need all hooked up to the Steam system, which is why we can't just copy and paste from Origin. Timing just didn't line up in this instance.
It's something I know the wider company is looking at for future titles, same goes for Trading Cards.
Any news about Battlefront 2 coming to Steam? Would be really cool to have everything on the same Launcher!
Maybe one day, nothing to announce right now.
