Edit: It seems the support forums are riddled with a tons of people having the same issue. Why on Earth would you have the ability to make a "quick account" ? From the looks of it you could even inadvertently create an account that you'll never be able to find and is linked with an email that doesn't exist if you mistype it

Wot in tarnation kind of server storage/logistics is this? No wonder they have account security issues. Firstly you can't contact Customer Support, and even when you get to them to ask them about your account, they don't even know what it could be.... On to the post. I don't care if it doesn't get seen. I'm keeping this updated.

I'm not sure how else to get visibility other than coming here to bitch about it. Mind you, this was my last resort so I'm not just complaining without a good reason. If there's a better way to reach support that isn't through Reddit and is not something I've already tried, I'm all ears.

So far I have tried:

• Updating the ticket through Bethesda Support Website
• Providing all the requested information through an email response
• Multiple follow up email with no response
• I never use twitter and I despise everything about it but since I wasn't getting anywhere I decided to tweet at them this morning. It's been a few hours and my measly 30 followers don't attract so much attention I guess... Ridiculous I had to go there at all the contact customer support.
• Booted up FO4 through Steam. Pulled Ethernet while in creation club. Which kicked me offline, then I went back online. That way it had me relog on FO4 creation club. I signed in with my Bethesda.net user. Still not linked...
• Logged out on browser, cleared cookies and cache relog. Still not working.

I'm going to provide as much detail as I possibly can in this thread so someone might see it and help me out...

I'm having issues linking/unlinking accounts. There are 2 separate issues.

1. I need to unlink an xboxlive Gamertag from my Bethesda account.
2. I can not link my steam account through Bethesda.net

The second issue is the one becoming a big issue with not being able to get FO76 entitlement through steam by linking. Luckily, they've now extended the deadline. Mind you I was trying to link WELL before the original cut-off date.

To give some background, I unknowingly linked my Uncles XboxLive Gamertag to my Bethesda account when I signed in to the game through his xbox account. (I normally play on my PC) We were up in the mountains with the family for Thanksgiving the year FO76 came out and he brought his xbox and a copy of FO76 with him. (He doesn't play but brought it to watch me and my cousin show him about it). As you can see from the linked accounts page on for my Bethesda.net profile There is no trash can icon next to the xbox live account that is linked. I managed to find out I HAD to contact support to get it removed. The fact that I have to do this at all is extremely stupid. Whatever. I made a ticket.

Then I heard nothing for what seems to be about a week. Whatever, Wastelander, Covid-19. Cut em' some slack.

Checked tickets on support page and what do I see but my ticket has been closed as a duplicate.

I assume this is because of confusion with the more pressing 2nd issue I have. Strap in.

Whenever I try to link it through the linked accounts page:

click on `Add a platform, social media or game account`

click on `Steam`

` You will now be sent to Steam website to login to your account and link it to Bethesda.net `

click `continue`

redirected to Steam

Login to Steam

I'm redirected back to the Bethesda.net page.

I'm greeted by a message that says Account linking failed. Please retry or contact Customer Support for assistance

As you can see, in both cases I've supplied all the requested information. I've updated this ticket several more times on the support portal through Bethesda's site as well.

At this point I'm not sure what to do and if I'll ever get the proper accounts on my Bethesda profile. I won't hold my breath. If anyone can get in touch with someone to help out that would be great... Going on 3 weeks of not having the proper information and not owning my game on steam through Bethesda's god awful organization of user information. (And you wonder why people don't wanna use your sh*tty launcher...)
