In current pts tests the flamer and cryo had their damage type changed from energy to fire / cryo.

But with this changes the mods arent working as they suposed to , they arent adding damage for that weapons.

I think that the mods still with an old script that increases energy damage instead elemental damage so thats why the mods arent providing the correct damage.

And the change make sense but to apply those changes bethesda needs to balance the elemental resists ( cryo/fire/ poison) almost all high level creatures have a insane high resist against fire/cryo/poison and in flamer situation is even worse considerating that most of enemys barely take the damage over time from fire sources.

So before bring this change live bethesda MUST balance the resists and fix the cryo/flamer mods issues that dont add damage on pts , before it comes live and still online for months making the flamer and cryo even more forgoten by the players.

And please submit tickets to bethesda customer support to make sure they know this issue and fix it before it comes to live servers.
