[2022] A friend who has rejoined the game is experiencing a strange bug.

Twice now he's been in the middle of reloading (once for a Minigun, the other for the Auto Grenade launcher) and has been hit by a staggering Melee attack. Once he recovers from the stagger and finishes reload animation he suddenly has no ammo.

I've never heard of or seen this bug and I've been playing since the Alpha stress test.

He's on an Xbox Series S.

Any help or knowledge of this possible bug would be appreciated.

Edit: Just to clarify, when I say he has no ammo, I mean, all of his ammo in the entirety of his inventory has disappeared.
