[2019] We Got SBQ Before Server Shutdown!

I'm level 98 and I never got around to launching my own nuke. From tidbits I read on the quest here and there, it sounded like a team mission. I'm a lone wanderer, so what chance do I have? I figured one day I'll be ready, and distracted myself with everything else the wasteland has to offer.

After dabbling with other hobbies like collecting badges to be the best Pioneer Scout I can be and crafting artisan liquors to sell at my shop, I decided it was finally time to cross off launching a nuke on my bucket list.

Multiple deaths and 30 stimpacks later... My nuke was finally launched. After much internal deliberation, I settled on nuking fissure prime.

There's something beautiful and breathtaking about watching your own nuke go up in a wondrous mushroom-shaped cloud. As I stood and watched at the edge of the blast radius, I reminisced about my journey in the wasteland so far.

Then all of a sudden, wastelanders from all over Appalachia started popping up, one by one. They were here to help me defeat the SBQ! I was overjoyed to have the support of so many experienced players.

Her health was halfway gone, and then the unexpected happened: the countdown started for server shutdown. We still had half her health left with only 7 minutes to go. I didn't think we would make it but I still gave SBQ everything I got.

I died in the midst of battle with a few minutes left and ran back to the battleground only to discover, WE DID IT! WE KILLED THE QUEEN!
