For those who do not know, the legendary perk electric absorption has a major unlisted benefit.  In addition to refilling your fusion core, energy attacks also refill your hp.  Alot.  Like to full.

Having this perk trivializes any engagements against energy weapon-yielding opponents.  If there is an enemy with energy weapons, they turn into pocket healers.  Assaultrons are a joke.  In pvp, a friend hiding in the distance with a stealth suit and laser rifle can make you immortal.

This has been reported by many on the PTS, and to my knowledge has no response from Bethesda.  This will likely be in-game after the patch today.

It's not hard to predict what will happen next:

This legendary perk completely changes the meta, and is a must-have for power armor users.  Everyone will take it.  Legendary perks are a grind fest and many, many (so many..) hours will be spent maxing it out.  Then, either Bethesda will A) come to their senses after realizing how OP this is or B) call it a bug and fix it.

Then come the screams, the tears, the gnashing of teeth...

What say we avoid this very predictable chain of events and just get a clear explanation from Bethesda right now whether this ability is intended and if they intend to change it.

Come on Bethesda, could you maybe take preventive action instead of letting it go for weeks or months and then pissing off your customers.

Pretty please?

Howdy! So we did discuss this during the PTS and the healing effect on Electric Absorption is intended even though it's not currently listed in the description. Hope that helps clear it up!

EDIT: I want to clarify that it should only be doing this healing if you are actively wearing Power Armor. If it's healing when you're not wearing Power Armor, then that is a bug.
