I think I can join the masses of people saying Survival is a failed experiment. But there are only a few key things that are absolutely ruining it:

  • The Leaderboard - This thing needs to be removed entirely, all it does is entice griefers to build up their kill count and ego. Remove it entirely.

  • Train Station Respawns - Train stations are places of trade and commerce, make them fast travel spots sure but not respawns. This way anybody who griefs there takes longer to come back and has to pay to do it. It would also make workshops more important as spawnpoints around the map, people might actually want to contest them.

  • PvP Damage - PvP damage is waaaaaayyy too high and TSE / low health melee builds are just rampant and cancerous. Bethesda said they had rebalanced this to avoid one shot kills but one shot kills is still all I see. Fallout is an RPG I want to all builds being viable so people can actually roleplay.

  • Map Reveals - I'm not entirely against this, but it's a form of punishment being revealed on the map not a brag. As such it should be saved for people who have griefed recently and frequently, definitely not people who have just been alive a long time. The way it is now just means that people are forcibly hunted down and killed every few minutes just for doing something other than killing for too long, which Bethesda even encouraged talking about quests!

  • Cap Cost / Amount of Aid Dropped- Don't give so high a reward for killing somebody and at least half the reward each time you kill the same person in a short time frame. I'm ok with caps and aid for kills as some players want to be raiders and I'd love for raiders to be viable as a way of getting caps and meds. It'd give the community a split and enemy factions! But not as stupidly high as it is now and definitely not for just killing the same person over and over again.

  • Bounties Costing Twice the Amount they're Worth - This one's pretty simple, what you put on somebody's head is what people should get for killing them. What's happening to the other half? Is it getting given as commission to the damn scorched?!

I'm sure plenty agree with me in wanting a survival mode which is more risky and has less training wheel restrictions, but we do not want one where it's a worldwide Call of Duty deathmatch.

Edit: Oh and remove the killfeed, why the Hell is there a killfeed?!?

Thank you for all the well thought out feedback! Survival mode is currently still in Beta and suggestions like this help us into creating this into a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone. I'll pass that along :)
