9s Fallout 76 has had several major expansions this year
12s with the Inventory Update, Locked & Loaded
14s and, of course, Steel Reign just recently.
17s But now we have the next big update: Fallout Worlds, which landed this week.
21s Fallout Worlds contains a range of new features and content
24s so let us look at what this update has to offer for Fallout 76 players.
28s The Fallout Worlds update offers new ways to experience Fallout 76
32s thanks to the addition of two game modes: Public Worlds and Custom Worlds.
36s Addressing the former first, Public Worlds consists of a range of unique worlds
40s that all players can join for free, each offering an experience
43s that differs vastly from Adventure Mode.
45s One Public World will be made available at a time, and each will
48s have their own set of different World Settings enabled, fit to a particular theme.
52s For instance, the Happy Builder World will have no C.A.M.P. placement restrictions
56s relaxed building restrictions, all Map locations discovered, and PvP disabled
61s the Dweller Must Die World will have increased damage dealt by players
64s increased enemy difficulty increased equipment durability and “Dark Bog” weather
69s the High Risk world will have fast travel disabled, always-on PvP
72s additional loot dropped on death, free workbench crafting
75s and legendary mod effects turned off
77s the Quantum World will have increased jump height
80s no fall damage, always-on nuked creatures “Quantum Storm” weather
83s and so on.
84s The Public World accessible to players will be changed every month
87s so keep an eye out on the Play menu to see which World is currently available.
91s We will be closely monitoring feedback towards the Public Worlds
94s and may adjust the beforementioned settings as needed to ensure the best experience.
98s Plus, we will also look to come up with new Public Worlds moving forward into the future.
102s Then we have Custom Worlds.
104s If you have an active Fallout 1st membership, you can now create your own Custom World
108s for you and your friends to enjoy when you are online
110s even if they don’t have a Fallout 1st membership.
112s These Worlds are private, and you can alter a range of World settings
115s in order to change Appalachia to your liking.
118s To create a Custom World, click “Play” from the Main Menu
120s select Custom World, and then hit “Select World Template”.
123s To give you a sense of the kinds of World settings which can be tweaked
126s in Custom Worlds, they cover the categories of Workshops
129s Combat and General, and include the beforementioned settings for Public Worlds
133s in addition to increasing C.A.M.P. Heights,
135s Radius and Budgets, altering equipment durability
138s triggering infinite enemy spawns, adjusting enemy difficulty, enabling infinite ammo
143s modifying dismemberment and ragdoll behavior, adjusting damage received and dealt
147s changing weather with existing and new weather
149s options, turning on visual filters and much more.
152s We are providing you with a range of customization settings to ensure
155s you are only limited by your imagination.
157s Plus, you can save up to three separate Custom Worlds
160s swap between any of them as your active Custom World
162s and change the settings within each World at any time.
165s Keep in mind that the progress of your characters in Public
168s or Custom Worlds is specific to those worlds and separate from Adventure Mode
171s though you can clone your Adventure Mode character for use in these Worlds
175s and have up to 5 Fallout World characters at a time.
178s And for Public Worlds, this means that character progress will go away
181s once the available Public World is cycled out.
183s It is important to also know that this is just the beginning of Fallout worlds
187s we will continue to expand it and add new features, based on the feedback of players.
192s Next up, let us chat about some further expansions we made to Daily Ops.
195s Thanks to this update, you can now enjoy new Double Mutation
199s weekend events in Fallout 76, which provide
201s an increased challenge in exchange for better rewards.
204s When these events are active, we will set Daily Ops to randomize every day
207s to include enemies who have one of eight unique combinations
210s of two different mutations, with some of these double mutations including
214s “Chilling Mend”, where enemies have the Freezing Touch and Group Regeneration Mutations
218s “Clouded Toxins”, where enemies have the Active Camouflage and Toxic Blood Mutations
222s and “Unstable”, where enemies have the Volatile and Swift-Footed Mutations.
226s We will be holding these Double Mutation Weekend events
228s every other week from Thursday to Monday, and you can look forward
232s to the following increased rewards: between 2 and 6 legendary cores
235s Double XP and Double in-game currency rewards.
238s Plus, you can continue to gain between 2 to 6 legendary cores
241s on repeat by repeating these Double Mutation Daily Ops and achieving Elder Rank.
245s And speaking of rewards, there is also an additional set of rewards which you
249s can now aim towards in all Daily Ops, including Plans for the Arctic Marine Armor
253s Sole Survivor Lever Action Rifle, Mirelurk King Tube C.A.M.P. object
257s Blood Eagle Skull Lord attire and more.
260s And of course, this update marked the beginning of a brand-new Season in Fallout 76
264s called “The Unstoppables vs The Diabolicals”, so you can now complete challenges
268s and obtain a range of new rewards including skins, C.A.M.P. objects
272s apparel, various currencies and more.
274s Finally, we want to add that Vault 51 has been opened in Adventure
277s and all other game modes, so you can now explore this previously inaccessible location
282s and learn about what befell the Dwellers of Vault 51.
285s And that is it. We hope you enjoy this new update to Fallout 76.
