Bethesda I have been a long time fan of many of your games, but this patch may have put a lot of fans like myself over the edge. It does not look well after doing interviews and talking about how you engage the public and listen to our input but this happens.

I am not asking for an apology or even any excuses. What I am asking for is not to go dark with communication every time a major patch goes out and fails. The worst thing a company can do is over hype a product or update and then release a subpar version of it. Please just respond to us and let us know that you have acknowledged our concerns and frustrations. Let the community know if there are any plans for a hotfix or rollback.

Going dark after a major patch designed to fix bugs that only introduced a whole new set of problems just makes things worse. Please help stop the rumors and the hatred towards the game by just acknowledging the games community. We are not asking for inside information, but simply what to expect in the next few days.

Thanks,

EDIT: After writing this post I have been able to go back an see some of the posts after getting onto a computer. I am glad there have been some responses from the CM's but I wish it was a little more then the average "Thanks and we are investigating" but understand the CM's hands are tied. I still stick to my original statement that I have loved this franchise over the years to much to not see it succeed. I still say the best way to help with the community fear is to communicate transparently and not with cookie cutter answers.

Hi, I wanted to step in here and say that we are seeing your bug reports (thank you to everyone who continues to send their issue reports our way!) and your feedback after this latest patch, and we’re working to address them as soon as we can.

  • For the issue with legendary loot not dropping from legendary creatures in some cases, we’re actively testing a fix for this for inclusion in a hotfix that we’re looking to release later today. That hotfix is also currently planned to include fixes for a couple of other issues that sprang up after Patch 11.

  • There’s a separate issue where some non-legendary creatures are incorrectly displaying “Legendary” in their names and have no stars. We’re investigating this as well and hope to have a fix out as soon as possible.

  • For Power Armor, we’re also looking into reports where some players have stated that they lost Power Armor pieces after reassembling their Power Armor post-Patch 11. I don’t have a further status update on this right now, because we’re still diving into individual cases to investigate. If you’ve checked both your stash and inventory after Patch 11 and believe that Power Armor pieces have disappeared from your character, please send me a message with the following info so that the dev team can investigate additional cases:

    • What platform do you play on?
    • What is your Bethesda.net account name (or GamerTag?)
    • What is the email associated with your Bethesda.net account?
    • What is the name of the character that lost Power Armor pieces?
    • What type of Power Armor was lost and what were you doing when you noticed it had disappeared?

We’re also investigating reports of other issues reported after Patch 11, like events and daily quests that aren't completing correctly, White Picket Fences not snapping together, Sentry Bots still having looping gunfire sounds, among others. I don’t have further details to share on these just yet, but we’ll be sure to circle back and let you know once we have fixes in place and ready for release.

As an update, we need a little more time to look into the fixes we're planning to release with the hotfix, so we have postponed it until tomorrow. Apologies for the delay on this, but we appreciate your patience.

We'll provide another update as soon as we have timing for the hotfix tomorrow.
