[2021] Face Breaker weapon glitched?

Hi, measly level 49 here.. I just got the Face Breaker weapon and it broke but every time I repair it won't let me equip it.. When I try to it just puts my fists up and then if I hit left on d-pad to switch to my other weapon it is like stuck on my fists until I go in pip boy to equip a different weapon. If I keep it in my inventory after I've fixed it it will randomly tell me it has broken again?? I have fixed it like 4 times lol it was working out really well for me punching a bunch of robots so this sucks 😅 has this happened to anyone else? I'm so sad lol
