[2019] Gun Fu perk not working after nuclear winter update???

So i know that they updated some combat features, and one was that you exit V.A.T.S. faster upon killing the enemy. But now with the gun fu. Perk card on it is just exiting vats instead of automatically switching to the next target on kill like the perk card says. Is this happening to anyone else? And is there anything i can do to fix it?
