[2020] Power armor gone (help)

I was trying to find the windigo colluases with my friend and was over encumbered in my xo-1, I then got out to fast travel out so I can search the random encounter. When I got out I realized the other place was already searched by my friend so I went back in. It felt like I was not in any power armor and died of taking full radiation that I would without any power armor. When I spawned I saw that my power armor was gone it was just the chassis with a fusion core, and my xo-1 nowhere to be found.
