[2021] How do you make your caps?

Keep seeing comments about hitting max caps. I'm lvl 157 and having trouble keeping caps - this week has been helpful, but I've never had more than 25k on me at any one time - and that only lasted a few hours because I bought 50 cal machine gun plan from Watoga BoS bot (couldn't find in any player vendors after 10+ server hops).
