[2020] Chameleon and escape artist conflicting/bugged?

Rolled a really nice SS chameleon chest peice lastnight. Ive used chameleon in the past it it was handy. I always have escape artist on with my build.

I equip the new chameleon chest went to do run riding shotgun. Ive ran this event atleast 25-30 times now, so have a good feel on how enemies detect me, where to place my feet and where they spawn. Anyways, when I shoot the first few enemies with a silenced 10mm from sneak I immediately go to danger. Bounce a few times to activate escape artist and I remain in danger, even breaking sight lines while bouncing and still in danger .

Switch back to my old chest peice ,try again and I have no problem staying hidden, and when i did get detected I was able to bounce a few times and went right back intk caution like I'm used to. Anyone else experiencing this? I dont remember having this issue in the past.
