The FREE trial and double XP weekend events are starting tomorrow and we've got no news about a possible solution for this major bug with the 250 resistance while reloading legendary effect that is disrupting about every gear system, armor, weapons, under armor and even power armor. Everything is malfunctioning when you reload. Please, just load back to Patch 15 or delay the events that are scheduled for tomorrow.

This will be a disaster for everyone, you as a company and us as a community. What do you think new players will think if they start playing and realize the entire combat system is broken? Armor with reduced stats, weapons with reduced damage, the numbers make no sense and don't add up anymore... First, they won't buy the game, they will probably never return or want to hear about the game again. Secondly, you will have the entire gaming media making news and videos bashing Fallout 76 again. It's inevitable.

So, please just do something, don't hide behind the "we are investigating" excuse while time goes on. If it is that difficult to rollback, then delete this useless legendary effect nobody even cares about. +250 resistance while reloading, which lasts about 1 second... If it's easier to disable or remove, then that would be the wisest solution. Ask the community, engage with us. It's better than to embrace silence and allow another disaster to happen once again.

Have you even noticed how many problems have been reported about this issue so far? Here's a little help:

  1. [Massive Bug] Bethesda fixed +250 DR while reloading but managed to break All Armor legendary Effects when you reload any weapon and the durability of weapons and armor
  2. Reloading weapon causes armor effects to disappear
  3. Reloading also can break prime effect on weapons.
  4. Either revert Patch 16 or immediately get working on fixing stuff which broke for a hotfix
  5. The Wave of Bugs that have appeared. (Patch 16)

We are actively working to address the reload issue as soon as we possibly can. Currently, we are looking to revert the original Patch 16 change that was intended to fix the +250 Damage Resist While Reloading issue, which as some of you have already mentioned, is the source for this new bug. Today's Inside the Vault will also have information on this, and we will have more details to share on our timing for reverting the fix soon--likely today.
