[2021] So the vendor glitch happened to me.

EDIT: Just to clarify, the other player definitely didn’t access my stash, it was just that the gun appeared in my vendor for 0 caps when I had placed it in my stash box. Sorry if that wasn’t clear.

Earlier I had stashed ‘Final word’ at Charleston station to offload some weight, when I returned to my camp to put a couple of plans in my vendor, I noticed ‘Final Word’ for sale for 0 caps. That what a close one I thought, immediately removed it and stashed it again.

Checked before leaving my camp and it wasn’t for sale. Cool.

You can guess what happened next, playing Rad Rumble and I get a pop up ‘xxxxx purchased Final Word’

Dammit.

I messaged the player and he very graciously gave me it back, I gave him some cool plans and a fixer as a thank you. He was level 45 and could have quite easily ignored me and kept it, he had every right to do so. (Also he spoke no English and had to put up with my broken french, he’s one of the good guys)

I don’t know if stashing it at the station made a difference, I’m level 208 and this is the first time it has happened.

Just (another) tale of woe, be vigilant. My vendors will be coming down for now.
