Hello Warriors!

With Y6S3 freshly underway, we wanted to take a minute and introduce you to the Community Team. Six years of For Honor means you've seen a lot of faces over the years, and it can be hard to keep track of them all. So, without further ado, here's the Who's Who (and what they do) of the memers and dreamers behind the For Honor Community Team:

Brian, u/ubichem - Community Developer

What they do: content strategy, social media live operations, and Community team project management

  1. How long have you been with Ubisoft? I've been with Ubisoft for 12 years, and in that time have worked on brands like Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, The Division, Assassin's Creed, and Far Cry.

  2. How long have you been on For Honor? I stepped into the role of Community Developer on For Honor in October of 2020. The first major content piece I shipped was the Gryphon 24hr Yuletide, for which (in addition to editing the entire thing) I photoshopped and keyframe animated all 28 of the watermelon head hero ornaments—absolutely destroying my render times.

  3. Tell us about your career path. I've been a Communications Professional working in video game communities since Ultima Online was the new hotness. As an industry dinosaur, I've had the fortunate opportunity to see (and contribute to helping) the industry grow and mature, as well as seeing Community Management emerge as its own discipline.

  4. Tell us a surprising or a fun fact about you. When I'm not shoulder-bashing or back-handing opponents with Warden or Warmonger, you'll find me honing my knightly skills in the real world as an avid HEMA practitioner. My focus is on KdF and Fiore longsword, and I'm a huge sloot for armor in the French or Milanese style from the late 15th and early 16th century. If you want to hear me not shut up for an hour, ask me about my preference for armets or my plans on becoming a tournament jouster. 🏇⚔️

Josh u/UbiYubble - Community Manager

What they do: content creation, day-to-day content management on social media, and reporting on community sentiment.

  1. How long have you been with Ubisoft? I've officially been part of the Ubisoft Community Team for 3 years this month!

  2. How long have you been on For Honor? I've actually been on For Honor since joining Ubi. I started off as a CR and then worked my way up to Community Manager. :)

  3. Tell us about your career path. I've always had a passion for building all inclusive communities and bringing people together. When I was 18, I'd make posts in the deep freezer of my very first job to make sure I never missed a day of posting. That passion carried me through to numerous opportunities including interviewing Zack Snyder, working on marketing for the show Krypton, and eventually Ubisoft! It's been quite a ride.

  4. Tell us a surprising or a fun fact about you. I'm a huge DC/Comic Book fan. If you've watched the Warrior's Den, this should not come as a surprise :D. I'm also a self taught musician! I've been playing drums since I was 9 and have picked up numerous instruments since then. I love metalcore, pop punk, etc. Pretty much anything that's not Country. 🙃

Simona u/Ubi-Daffodil - Community Manager

What they do: content creation, day-to-day content management on social media, and reporting on community sentiment.

  1. How long have you been with Ubisoft? I have been with Ubisoft for 2 and a half years! I started as part of the Support Team, then moved to Community where I was a CR for Italy and worked on For Honor and Rainbow 6, then became a Community Manager.

  2. How long have you been on For Honor? In total, I have been on the brand 5 months, including both my experience as CR and CM.

  3. Tell us about your career path. It all started when I joined my University eSports & video gaming society for fun. Since then I have been a semi-pro Overwatch player, won a national cup, helped out the eSports Team, and fell in love with all things Community in general, decided to join Ubisoft and here I am now! 😄

  4. A surprising or a fun fact about you. You can find me on a badminton court or in my garden when I'm not working or playing (mostly FPS). Despite coming from the deep south of Italy, I hate summer and prefer winter activities to the sea.

Jett u/Ubi_Wan - Community Representative

What they do: content creation, day-to-day content management, Super Smash Savant, ad-hoc reporting, and community insights.

  1. How long have you been with Ubisoft? 3 years! I started in Customer Support, then became the CR for Assassin's Creed, and later moved onto For Honor

  2. How long have you been on For Honor? I've been lucky enough to be on the project for 5 months so far.

  3. Tell us about your career path. I've worked as a nerd my whole life, save for a two year stint as a bartender. Electronics in retail, instructor at a tech camp, support for Ubisoft, and now community for Ubisoft.

  4. A surprising or a fun fact about you. MMO's and Fighting games are intrinsic to my life. It's not hard to imagine the setting and gameplay of For Honor fit like a glove for me - as did Black Prior. ;)

With our efforts this year to rehabilitate the team's relationship with the sub, we felt it was only fitting to introduce (or re-introduce) the current team to the sub. If you want a TL;DR of what we do, we are the people that engage with you, reply to you on Social Media, listen to you, report your feedback to the Developers, organize and host the Warrior's Den, write articles, and most importantly: sh*tpost.

Some of us might prefer lurking in the shadows more than others, but we all work together as a team to make sure that your voices are heard (inb4 someone says we don't).

As Community Professionals, we were drawn to this work by our enjoyment of interpersonal interaction and the parasocial nature of humanizing the brands we work on. As such, we love engaging with the community, and seeing you all enjoy the content we produce is a dopamine hit like no other.

We look forward to spending more time with you, so that we can be more to you than just the bearers of bad news when your fav gets whacked by the nerf bat. 🙃

Nah it wasn't connected to Smallvillle (goated show btw). Brainiac and Doomsday looked great in Krypton tho
