0s Hello Forge Fans,
2s Welcome to our tutorial of this year's Soccer Cup minigame!
6s And we've got a few tips for your strategy as well.

14s up to date with new events and updates in Forge of Empires.
23s Let's start with the field.
25s This year, the Soccer Cup features the merge mechanic.
28s You play this mini-game by merging players and increasing their level to eventually clear
33s them off the field and collect their badges.
37s In return, you are awarded with Grand Prize progress points and various rewards.
42s Begin by using your Footballs to send new players onto the field.
47s Each player is either a defender, midfielder or attacker and has a random level of 1-4.
53s You will also notice that some players are free, and some are marked, as well as the
58s fact that they carry a different badge part, or no badge at all.
63s Combining a free and marked player will replace them with one, better player with a higher
68s level and a combined badge.
70s Remember: you can only combine players with the same type and level.
75s While combining the players, you will also combine their badges.
79s A player can have no badge or one of the two different badge parts.
84s To get a full badge, you need to always combine two different badge parts.
88s A fully completed badge will be larger than a single badge part and will have a glow around
94s it.
95s Once you achieve this state, send your player into cooldown to get them off the board and
100s collect their badge.
102s Level 3 players will give you one badge and level 4 players will bring you 3 badges of
108s their type.
109s But what do you do with them?
111s Use them to open special Training Bags you can find on the right side of the Event window.
117s You are free to choose between Bronze, Silver, and Gold Training Bags.
122s Each type of a bag will provide you with different benefits.
126s All Training Bags will give you a few progress points towards the Grand Prize, as well as
131s a chance to win an extra reward.
134s Among those rewards, you will find the current Daily Special.
138s The more expensive the Bag is, the more progress points it gives, and the higher is the chance
143s to win the Daily Special per one opened bag.
147s It is up to you to decide which Bag will work best for your goals.
151s If you have managed to clear all existing players off the field, the field is considered
156s completed and you can close it.
159s If you have unredeemed players with full badges, they will be automatically credited to your
164s balance.
165s You will also receive a Field Completion Reward, which gives you a chance to win a valuable
170s item, for example, one of the brand new Selection Kits.
174s After that, the next round starts.
177s And now, let’s get to our strategy tips!
181s Tip number one: be mindful of the badge parts!
184s Combining players with different badge parts will bring you a full badge.
189s Still, you can choose to combine players with the same badge part to free or level up a
194s player.
195s The decision whether to prioritize the full badges or the leveling up of players and clearing
201s the field depends on your goals and strategy for the Event.
206s Carefully choose which Training Bags to open!
210s Despite providing fewer progress points, Bronze Training Bags might prove to be a better deal
215s IF your focus is the Daily Special.
218s As these Bags are cheaper, you can spend fewer badges to open more bags, each time getting
224s a chance to win the Daily Special.
226s The Gold Training Bags provide a better chance to win the Daily Special per Bag, and more
231s progress points, but they demand more badges as well.
237s Spend your Footballs wisely!
238s To be able to play the mini-game, you will always need to send new players onto the field.
244s The trick is to send as few of them as possible to both merge players effectively and have
250s enough Footballs for the next round.
253s Again, players with different badge parts should be your first choice for combination,
258s so that you don't lose important badge parts.
262s Completing the field is optional!
265s Freeing the last remaining players can be tedious and cost a lot of Footballs.
270s Depending on the state of the field, think how many Footballs it would take to clear
275s it, and whether the Field Completion Reward is worth it.
279s You may very well score more prizes by simply moving on to the next round.
285s You can reset the field for free!
288s But only once a day.
290s So should you find yourself in a situation when you don't want to complete the board,
294s you can choose to reset it.
296s You can even do it more than once, however, the extra resets will cost you Footballs.
302s Which still might be a worthy investment.
304s The sixth and the final tip: Claimed badges do not reset!
309s You can play and collect badges at any time, but you don't have to spend your collected
315s badges every day.
316s The badges will stay with you and can be spent on Training Bags throughout the event, with
322s a prize to suit you!
