0s | Hello Forge Fans! |
---|---|
2s | The first iteration of our major new feature, the Historical Allies, |
7s | is about to arrive on the BETA server! |
10s | In preparation, we want to share our vision for this addition, |
14s | how it will develop in the future, and tease some content. |
17s | Keep watching for those details, and in the meantime, |
20s | consider supporting us with a like on this video and following our YouTube channel |
25s | to never miss any news about your favorite game! |
32s | What are Historical Allies and why are we adding them? |
36s | Historical Allies are powerful helpers that can significantly boost your City. |
41s | But to accommodate them, you will need to make some room. |
44s | And we’ve got it covered! |
46s | Historical Allies will reside in rooms in your City buildings – brand-new slots for bonuses |
52s | that can favor your style of play. |
54s | Each Ally will boost an aspect of gameplay, be it Forge Points production, |
59s | your Quantum Incursions, or unit stats. |
62s | Depending on their specialty, an Ally will need to be placed in a room |
66s | that corresponds to their skills (military Allies in military rooms and so on). |
72s | Please note that we will not add rooms to buildings retrospectively, |
76s | but only new buildings will have them. |
78s | In addition to the bonuses, all Allies differ by level and rarity – Uncommon, Common, and Rare. |
86s | You will recognize the rarity of an Ally by their |
90s | portrait’s frame color and the number of stars on it. |
94s | When Allies first appear in your City, |
96s | they all reside in this new building just outside its border. |
101s | For the foreseeable future, Allies will be inspired by real-life historical figures, |
107s | so if you were ever curious about what kind of advice Alexander the Great would give you, |
112s | you might get the chance to learn. |
114s | Although, I wouldn’t ask him about Persian war elephants. |
118s | Our vision with Historical Allies is to have a system that is deeply integrated into the game |
125s | and works with its features in synergy while expanding the current selection of rewards |
130s | in a sustainable and fun way. |
133s | We want this system to differ from consumable items such as |
137s | army boosts and production management items. |
140s | On the contrary to the consumable items, you will be able to keep your Allies, |
146s | and, as we develop the feature further, level them up to improve the bonuses. |
151s | Finally, we aim for this system to help our players customize their Cities like never before. |
157s | With the ability to add and remove Allies as you wish, you will be able to use different bonuses |
164s | when they are needed, all without using up any more of your precious City space! |
169s | How do I win the Allies? |
172s | Historical Allies are available to everyone who unlocked the Roof Tile Houses Technology. |
178s | If you are already past that, you will be able to use the Allies once they are released. |
183s | With the release, all players will get the same Ally – the Spartan Soldier, |
188s | and the very first building with a room that suits the Ally – the Timeless Junction! |
194s | From there, we plan to gradually add opportunities |
197s | to win Allies and buildings that can accommodate them. |
201s | Likely, one of the next Events will already have such a possibility. |
206s | What do we mean by “first iteration”? |
209s | The Historical Allies are planned to become a vast and complex feature, so to implement it right, |
215s | we’re taking it slow. With this release, we will start by adding the basic functionality, |
221s | so you might not notice an immediate impact on your gameplay. |
226s | With future iterations, we will gradually add more. |
229s | Apart from teasing the level-up, we won’t say much for now as the next steps |
234s | will heavily depend on how the feature performs and is used by players. |
239s | Why not release everything at the same time, you ask? |
243s | Splitting a bigger feature into smaller iterations will allow us to allocate our resources better, |
249s | react to feedback quicker, and fix issues while they are still smaller scale. |
255s | Instead of trying to tackle everything at once, |
258s | we want to see which things are best for the game first. |
262s | Before you go, we want to show you the four Allies we’ve created so far. |
267s | You will meet them in the game soon enough. |
269s | Can you guess their names and bonuses? Share your ideas in the comments! |
274s | We are excited to hear what you think of the Allies, how do you see them fitting into the game, |
280s | and what you want to do with them, so join us for the BETA testing of their first iteration! |
286s | Thanks for watching, and see you in the next one! |
