Hey there Forge Fans!
It's been a while, we know! But we're excited to finally spill the beans on the new changes to Guild Battlegrounds. Read on to learn more about the new Championships, rewards, and attrition adjustments!
Spoiler alert: at this point, you will notice our brand-new, insanely powerful Tower of Champions building. Head to the rewards section of this announcement if you can't wait to learn more about it!
You can track your progress in Battlegrounds and the Championship on the new Leaderboard. The Rankings button will now show the Guild-Battlegrounds-based ranking by default. The ranks will be based firstly on League Points your Guild currently has, secondly on the amount of Battleground victories in the current Championship, thirdly on total Victory Points accumulated in the current Championship, and lastly on the Guild Level.
The old ranking based on Guild vs Guild performance is still available in the same window. To view it, simply click on this cup button at the bottom of the rankings window.
The new buildings are: Guild Fieldcamps, Barracks, and Guild Command Posts. Guild Fieldcamps are available to you right away, in the starting Province! You can only build one building there. Each building also has 3 tiers that give higher chances and boosts depending on the tier, as well as cost more resources and take longer to build. These buildings will replace most the old ones, with only Decoys, Traps and the Watchtower remaining.
We will also add the number of Province Building slots in each province to the province label, as well as the current chance to gain attrition for each sector which is currently attackable for the guild. This will be colour graded to aid easy assessment of chance to gain attrition.
You can see a list of all buildings providing these specific boosts in your townhall!
The challenge to get the Tower of Champions is truly not easy. Win at least three Diamond League Battlegrounds in a Championship to get enough Fragments to unlock level one of the brand new Tower of Champions. Win FIVE Battlegrounds in a Championship to unlock level 2!
We've given the Conquest Rewards a general makeover for all leagues and tossed in some new surprises for Diamond League players. For starters, we have now included the chain pieces, previously only available in the diamond league! You can select between the level 1 building, an upgrade kit or the chain piece now. Other changes include providing coins now on the Volcano map, instead of the Waterfall one.
The Forgotten Temple from Guild Expedition Level 5 will now have a Guild Battlegrounds related bonus depending on the player Age.
Were you about to ask us about the Defending army boosts for Guild Battlegrounds? Good spot! They are indeed not in use. Right now...
And that's all for this update folks, please let us know your feedback here! We are really excited to hear what you think!

New Province Buildings
To allow for more variety and tie things together with the other balancing changes, we're introducing three new Province Buildings types. We hope they can also spice up your gameplay in terms of your Guild Battlegrounds strategy.
Name | Image | Build Location | Effect | Cost | Build Time |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Guild Fieldcamp | Guild starting province | 26-80% chance reduction to gain attrition (only adjacent provinces) All provinces generate 25-100% more victory points |
25000-75000 goods | 6h-24h | |
Barracks | Any empty slot, excluding starting province | 20-60% chance reduction to gain attrition (only adjacent provinces) This province requires 5-30% more advances to be conquered |
2800-6800 goods | 2h-3h | |
Guild Command Post | Any empty slot, excluding starting province | 20-60% chance reduction to gain attrition (only adjacent provinces) This province requires 5-30% more advances to be conquered This province generates 15-100% more victory points |
2900-7000 goods | 2h-3h |
Minimum Building Slots
In addition, all provinces now have at least one building slot available. The maximum is still 3 slots.Adjustable Attrition Cap
We hope this change will serve to make the progression of battles more meaningful and discourage battle farming. The attrition cap we tested on beta not too long ago is back, but now – with a twist! We're introducing an adjustable cap starting at 80%, limiting the chance to avoid attrition. We want to keep this adjustable so that we can be responsive to your feedback and data if needed in future. We will also change the attrition to scale more linear (compared to exponential before) and increase the overall achievable attrition level. For negotiations, the Goods cost per level will also be adjusted in line with this. The increase will be way more signific towards the higher attrition levels. We hope this way attrition can remain dynamic and effective for the time being.Increased Advances Per Province
The advances required per province for the Diamond League will be increased. The Waterfall Archipelago will now require 200 advances, while the Volcano Archipelago even requires 220 now!GUI Changes
We are not done yet! By popular request we are adding in a column to show each Guild Member's attrition level in the Member Activity tab.We will also add the number of Province Building slots in each province to the province label, as well as the current chance to gain attrition for each sector which is currently attackable for the guild. This will be colour graded to aid easy assessment of chance to gain attrition.
