Hey everyone!
We’ve been testing our Creative matchmaking services the past four weeks in a limited capacity and we’re continuing that this week here. This Friday (tomorrow) you’ll have the opportunity to enter a matchmaking queue for three separate Creative games from 12-6pm ET. You’ll have the chance to play multiplayer Creative games with a full lobby while also providing direct feedback to the map creators about their map.
How can I join?
At 12pm, the r/FortniteCreative moderators will post a Feedback Friday thread that will have information on how to participate. This will include the island code for the matchmaking portal. Enter this matchmaking code into any portal in the Creative Hub and walk through the portal once it loads. After joining the island, you can walk up to three separate portals and enter a queue for matchmaking into one of those games. You’ll stay in queue until enough players have entered it for the match to start. Once a full amount of players have queued for that game, you’ll join that island and the game will start shortly after.
Feedback
We’re using this opportunity to test matchmaking within Creative, but we also want to provide Creators an avenue to receive feedback. The thread posted tomorrow will have specific destinations for feedback of each game. Please post constructive feedback in a cordial way.
Miscellaneous
- Sometimes players will get a prompt that says “cannot do that right now” when trying to enter into a matchmaking queue. You can step away and wait a couple of seconds before trying again or queue into a different game.
- Crossplay is not enabled. If you are entering into a matchmaking queue by yourself, you’ll match with other players on the same platform (PC, Console, Switch+Mobile).
- If you are in a party, you will queue into whichever game the party leader queues for. You will also be in the platform bucket of the party leader. If your party is too large for the game you are trying to queue into, a prompt should notify you.
- The matchmaking service will only work if you set your region to NAE.
We’ll see you tomorrow at 12pm!
