Be warned. If you were invited to get a creator code via this Reddit and still don't have 1,000 followers. DO NOT TRY TO CHANGE YOUR NAME.
As part of a recent name change and re-branding, I messaged Epic Games affiliate support to update my creator code. Instead of updating my name, one of their staff named "Mario" is pulling my participation in the program because my socials "no longer" meet the 1,000 follower requirement.
My socials NEVER met the requirement. A member of the Epic staff reached out to me via THIS REDDIT in February to invite me to participate in the program specifically so that I can publish my Snipers vs Runners map. Code: 5541-5735-8519
My SvR map has been played by creators like Loserfruit, Lasalle, Slogoman, Willyrex, Valouzz, Bstaaard, Crayator, Jeanfils, Tiagovski and more to a combined MILLIONS OF VIEWS on YouTube and Twitch. But Epic wants to yank my ability to publish maps because I changed my name.
I am even in the top 100 ranked map creators on Dropnite's leaderboard. I have no idea what to do at this point. I have been an upstanding Epic Affiliate for 6 months and my maps have given Epic/Fortnite millions of views and positive publicity via the creators who have played them.
My Twitch channel is significantly closer to 1,000 followers than it was when Epic staff invited me to get a creator code and publish maps and yet NOW they want to pull it? If anyone has any idea what I can do to sort this out, please help.
