Hey everyone,
Thanks for joining us for our first Feedback Friday on this subreddit on Friday last week. We're looking forward to doing more of these in the near future and making the experience smoother as we continue to test our matchmaking services.
What is Feedback Friday?
We've been testing our matchmaking services within Creative for a few weeks using maps made by the community. Feedback Friday is a way for Creative players to matchmake into Creative games with other players and provide direct feedback to the map Creators through this subreddit. For players, it's an opportunity to play Creative games with a full lobby and experience multiplayer game modes. For Creators, it's another chance to have your map played by more people and a great way to receive feedback on how to improve.
As we continue to test and iterate on Feedback Friday and Creative matchmaking services, there will be changes from week to week, but we will stick to this rough schedule below.
Saturday-Tuesday @ 9AM ET
Creators can submit their maps to be chosen and played on Feedback Friday. Get your submissions in by 9AM ET on Tuesday if you'd like to be considered for that same Friday. If you're submitting your island code on this subreddit, have Feedback Friday in the title if you'd like the island to be considered for our Friday tests.
Tuesday - Thursday
Epic will play and choose the maps to be played on Friday. If you see a map you'd like to play - upvote it! We're looking to see what you all want to play.
Friday
On Friday we'll work with the moderators of this subreddit to post a feedback thread that includes the matchmaking island code, the games we are going to play, and a schedule of which games to queue for at what time. Then we'll play those games with you using the matchmaking island code while providing any constructive feedback to the map Creators.
We look forward to seeing and playing all the wonderful games you can come up with!
