I suspect the event ended faster than Epic expected because the number of players was off the charts! I checked at the event's time and there were about 3.5 million players in BR and another 1.5 million in ZB! I have never seen these numbers in any of the recent events, and I suspect Epic didn't expect so many players will be online and shoot Dr Doom into oblivion so quickly lol Your thoughts?

If that was the case half of that number wouldn't be able to get into the game at all, not just the matches and from what I saw the issues started when people started to leave the game after taking down Doom (yes, a lot of people leaving the match at the same time can do that!)

Apex is barely averaging 200k nowadays and they still dont have forced crossplay

5 million is the *peak* thanks to the event, the last time FN had this CCU was last year, around Chapter launch. And this is number across all platforms, not one. Regular daily FN CCU fluctuates between 600K and 1.7mln. Then his number is split across 8 regions and the split is uneven. Then you have those numbers split across hundreds of playlists. And then within those playlists you have subvariants for solo/duo/squads.
