[2021] Game stuck at the press a to start screen. (Switch)

When I open the game everything is normal up until I get to the press a to start button. It does to usual thing of checking for updates, logging in, then gets onto checking epic server queue where it stays on for a while then shows a brief error message too quick to see and returns to the Press A to Start button.
