[2022] 90 FPS still doesn’t work, FPS randomly locks to 55

I’m on a OnePlus 8 which supports 90 FPS and no matter what I do my FPS won’t go above 60 in game. Also I don’t know why, but my FPS randomly caps itself to 55 and it feels so bad to play on. I have my screen refresh rate set to 90Hz and I tried to use high performance mode and nothing changed.
