I don't want to take away from epic but this is one of those things they were already working on and people happened to want it. So when they release a feature like this it looks like they are taking ideas from the community but really they were just following their own plan
Honestly, it's a little bit of both. :)
Internally, we had discussed it, and it was definitely a feature we wanted to add. Around the same time, we started seeing suggestions to add it.
Seeing both the request and the concerns helped inform us on its priority and how to finish the feature. For example, it was clear from your discussions that we should absolutely not ship it without an option to disable it.
So, yeah, even if a feature is on the roadmap, it's still super useful to see discussion and ideas about them!
