[2021] v17.30 Update - Now Live

Downtime has ended for the v17.30 update. Read about the Grab-itron weapon, the abduction of Slurpy Swamp, the upcoming Team Brawl LTM, and bug fixes in our v17.30 blog post.

Here’s a summary of what’s new:

- The Grab-itron: A UFO in Your Hands - With this newly-discovered Alien weapon, pull in objects then propel them at your opponents. Also pull in objects to temporarily block damage coming from in front of you!

- The “Rise” of Slurpy Swamp - The Mothership is in the process of abducting certain POIs, beginning with Slurpy Swamp. With how heavy Slurpy Swamp is, the Mothership’s tractor beam has broken it into chunks. Enter the beam and jump from platform-to-platform.

- Stay in the Heat of Battle in Team Brawl - In the new Team Brawl LTM, going live on August 5, you’ll compete with your team to reach 60 eliminations before the other team. If you get eliminated, you’ll respawn by plummeting to the ground instead of skydiving, ensuring you speedily get back to the brawl!

- Improved 3D Audio on PS5 - v17.30 fixes an issue with Fortnite’s “3D Headphones” option on PS5 in which stereo sounds (like close-range gunfire) would be 2D instead of 3D. Please ensure 3D audio is enabled in your system settings for the “3D Headphones” option to take effect.
