My understanding is while we cannot craft a Mechanical Explosive Bow it might still be possible to pull them in chests, though rarely.
Was that changed when Rocket Launchers were removed from Competitive?

Appreciate the report. We've identified why the change was reverted and we'll be removing the explosive items again soon.

Nope they too were a part of the override and we are going to have to remove them again too
