[2020] Deal Damage with Explosives not working since cars update

"Deal damage with Explosives" challenges are not registering damage on my account. I have been playing a lot over the last 2 days and have finished my deal damage in a vehicle challenge today, mostly with rockets from boats in team rumble.

Edit: Note that this challenge has come up as a 14K and 1.4K daily 3 times for me now, and each time I cannot progress it, even when damage counts towards explosive eliminations and/or deal damage from a vehicle. Use to work fine prior to this update.

When I reported to Epic Games I got suggestions to try with different weapons and got told to report in game and both cases were promptly closed. I have tried every explosive weapon, and had already reported in game, but the new screenshot reporting system doesn't allow a description to be added.
