This idea has TWO key points,
SQUAD-MATE CLASSES: AI squad members must have a CLASS in order to fulfill a role in the squad. The AI class will dictate how that squadmates will operate and prioritize targets in combat. A sniper will remain farther back providing precision fire, While the medic with play closer to the player, and the panther will try to take the fight to the enemy, and the assualt class will provide cover and deal with any major threats. These only being examples this would allow the dev team to impliment new squadmates when they bring new classes to the game in order to showcase the classes abilities. Also allowing players to build and have fun with different squad mechanics and builds.
OPEN SQUAD ROSTER: this allows players to select the number of squadmates they want to bring with them. Allowing players to bring up to three AI teammates. Meaning players can choose to bring no squad mates if they wanna play lone wolf, or maybe the player wants to run a sniper team so they only bring one additional squadmates as a spotter, or you wanna run a full team and kick in doors then you run with all three squadmates. The choice is completely up to the player.
